      @@BobbyHillVGK702 if gas mileage is your number one then you’ve clearly never owned a diesel before. These newer diesels are so insanely expensive to maintain and they just do not last like they used to. If your DEF system goes out plan on spending $20,000 to fix it. I’ve never had that problem but I know other guys in my situation that have.
      Gas mileage is the last thing you worry about. What matters most is reliability and long-term maintenance cost.
      You might get great gas mileage in a diesel compared to the big gas engine, but once your EGR goes out, or the the high-pressure oil pump but not notorious for going out in the newer trucks or even the oil coolers going out which are pretty common you’re gonna spend $5000 at least for each one of those issues.
      Again, any money you will supposedly save on diesel you’ve lost it the second you gotta do one of these ridiculous diesel engine repairs.

They all tow nearly 19,000 lbs which on my farm even a trailer full of hay doesn't way that much. I tow tractors and equipment all day long, giant trailers of livestock and they don't even blink. Now, I do live in Texas where it is flat so I don't need to pull that weight through the rockies or places like that. $100k is without question ridiculous. No wonder all brands are reporting low sales... you mean raising prices 50% in the last 3.5 years isn't driving sales? Maybe the ridiculous interest rates on top of ridiculously high prices. That's not a dream truck... there's simply nothing to justify 6 digit prices.

      Low sales? I was looking at ordering an F250 and was quoted 3 to 5 months wait. Also, I don't think Ford breaks out the numbers for F150/F250/F350, but last I saw the July F-Series sold 66,000 trucks in 1 month compare to 2021 they sold 52,000. They are almost back to pre-covid numbers in truck sales which was about 70K for July 2019.

    Personally, my dream truck would be a rubber floor mat, base model trim, as mechanical (non-electronic) as possible, four-wheel drive with the largest gas engine available. And, it would have to be very reliable and long-lasting. It would have full-floating axles, with a rear, non-electric locker. Manual transfer case and front hubs. I want a truck that would last over twenty years (so my kids and theirs could pass it down).

    The Ford 6.7L diesel is as my favorite of the big three American trucks. I’ve been using a 2015 F-350 dually with that engine with an aftermarket flatbed gooseneck set up to haul around a 44’ Renegade triple axle trailer that is fully built out with two large HWH sliders as a mobile/standalone remote manufacturing training lab/classroom. The only thing it doesn’t have is a bathroom. I NEVER have any issues with the smooth delivery of power with that monster on the back of the dually. And even that earlier transmission is butter smooth and the engine/exhaust brake in the 6.7L works quite well. This Tremor is DEFINITELY on my list of units to check out when they hit the showrooms. An F-350 that I can drive around not loaded down without needing to pop in the old teeth guard? I’M IN, LOL!!! 🤣🤣 Love it. 👍🏻😎👍🏻

  • @Far2hip
    @Far2hip 19 часов назад

    That slide in camper restriction is absolutely a result of the suspension set up in the Tremor. Even with the heavy duty off-road suspension, with a standard slide in on this truck, it would sway something fierce. But the main issue is the amount of bulk already up high combined with the slide in on that off-road tailored suspension, the weight transfer happening in an abrupt evasive maneuver would quite literally throw that whole truck over on its side pretty quickly. 😵 a low lightweight slide in would probably solve the issue if it wasn’t stuffed full of “stuff”. 🧐

A heavily galvanized box frame with good drainage shouldn’t have that issue if you’re not just driving in a salty slush all the time and never washing it… or so I’d think.

    Depreciating assets are not investments dude. Only in a work environment where the truck is necessary to fulfill income that completely exceeds the cost of the vehicle in a 2 year period does this even make sense. For the Average person, Here's the real issue. Ever single heavy duty truck since the end of the big block era has had issues that are not easily repaired and cost a lot of time and money to fix. Owning this for a recreational activity and using it as a daily driver or even just for rec activities makes no sense unless your income allows for such a Luxury. Your correct its a dream... A pipe dream for nearly 70% of responsible Americans. I'm a huge boater. I have been looking at your vids comparing the gas to diesel in 2500's because if I want the 32 footer I have to go HD but I am not spending that kinda money on a truck that will loose half or more of its value in 10 years and 150k miles. Thats 50+ grand Gone. They cost huge money and Ford Warranty is horrible. After the factory Warranty is up and your on extended they dont always cover the repairs, and many people have been told they will not be covered for having installed simple mods to the truck having Nothing to do with the power train. They wont do factory recalls for known design flaws and they just want consumers to eat the union labor costs so they can maintain their profits. So much useless crap in these trucks these days and since dealers order them your stuck with what ever they ordered because if you want to order one well... thats gonna cost extra because the dealer ordered trucks are the cheapest, carry the biggest discounts to the dealer and FORD because of over ordering discount manufacturing, over inventory ect. In 2007 It was an insane idea to pay 55-60k for a truck for rec use. I still see it as insane to pay that much for something thats designed to start breaking after 3-5 years and 50-150k miles, because they all do it these days. Ram GM Ford they are all guilty as sin. They all break, they all have design faults and they all have people designing them that are focused on designed obsolescence and for something that cost more than my first house... I'll wait until they are desperate to sell them or invest in a water front property that doesn't depreciate and pay someone to move the boat on land. Eventually this dream for American truck builders comes crashing down. I'm sure we will still have to pay for it some how...
