    My real beef with the G21 is that it’s released with A11 and not A12. Really it should be receiving the OS updates to take it to 14. But all in all it doesn’t actually seem like a bad device. Great review 👍

    First thing I noticed was how light the device feels it's nice.
    So the build is solid it's very well built, the rear of the device is fantastic it really does feel nice and the texturization on it adds some extra grip it really is nice to hold it actually feels more on the premium side I am impressed.
    On the software side it's been performing nicely with the Unisoc T606 chip not experienced any performance issues with it so far for the tasks I will do on a daily which is Social media, Whatsapp, Web browsing, Calls. Now from a gaming point of view I cannot tell you as I do not game on a phone.
    Now the camera takes great photos only thing that disappointed me was the removal of ultrawide which was present on the G20 it really is a shame, I would rather they removed that pointless macro lens they insist on putting on these handsets these days and put the ultrawide back on.
    Also I am not a huge fan of the camera island shape and placement I prefer the circular module island to me it sets Nokia apart from the crowd, with this current trend change it's more accustomed to a Moto and looking at it you could slap any manufacturers name on it as it's so generic looking.
    Battery is great so far it came with a precharge of 60% and I topped it up to 100% in not much time with the 10w bundled charging brick, I don't know if I will stick with the 10w charging brick I'll have to see when it needs recharging and how long it takes before making the decision to get the 18w charging brick will see.
    Calls have been fine clear crisp no problems, loudspeaker for music it's ok nothing spectacular it's no by any means the loudest.

    My wife has had a Nokia 5.3 for two years and the phone has ran like a top. Two years trouble free motoring.
    Problem is I dunno if this is a 5.3 replacement or if I would recommend this to her.
    Marginal call. The G50 or the X10 might be better option. Nokia obviously.

    • @blackhawk69100
      @blackhawk69100 2 года назад +5

      G50 if you want 5G. But apart from that the X10 would be the better option as it’s 1080p screen and has better cameras…… and looks like a Nokia. I have the G50 and it’s perfectly fine. But if I hadn’t already bought it and wasn’t bothered about 5G, I would consider the G21 for battery and refresh rate. It’s only the camera system that lets it down. But they are all a bit sucky at that price. Camera on the G50 is surprisingly good, and X10s camera isn’t bad either. Plus the 5G bands are better then many other phones. Horses for courses. Want 5G and good camera, get G50. Want 5G, 1080p screen and decent cameras, get X10. Want value for money and are not bothered about 5G cameras that acceptable with good refresh rate, get G21.

      @@blackhawk69100 You said it right. Spot on 👍🏻. Haha I would still bug a google pixel 4 or 5 for the same price. Better camera, processor and updates.. nokia sucks at giving updates, they already give 1 year old OS when its launched and u get delayed upto 6-8 months for OS update... So technically u hardly get 1 new OS update when u compare with pixel launched same time front or back little... Nokia gives 2 year OS update.. but since u got old 1 year OS, lets say u get in end . 1 year OS update compared to phones launched by google same time with latest OS

    • @blackhawk69100
      @blackhawk69100 2 года назад

      @@bhupeshjain1680 I agree, the promise on updates from Nokia/HMD has fallen very short. After all it was the whole point of using Android 1. But you are also right about the Os release cycle on new devices. It’s criminal to release a new phone on previous software. Just makes a mockery of the slogan ( pure, secure, and up to date). I honestly think HMD should make it’s own skin/launcher at this point to help hide the slow updates. At least then it would already have useful editions software wise straight from the box. Android 1 to me at this point just feels to barebones and doesn’t really bring anything to the table as updates are slow.

    I was really excited when the "new Nokia" phones started coming out on the market, and I owned three of them (3, 5, and 6.1). But, as years go by, it looks to me that they are losing their mojo at HMD. After 6.1 I switched to Poco, and I wasn't disappointed. Like it more and more. As mentioned in a previous video about this model at first I just saw another Motorola run of the mill G series entry model but later on, I remebered that I actually like most of these run of the mill Motorolas and that changed my view on this Nokia. Yes it's sad that Nokia didn't try to go for more unique design language but I'm glad they left the centre circle isle after a bit too much iterations of devices. What remains an absolute eyesore is the damned V-notch screen. Yes again, I don't mind notches nor do I mind punched displays, even the Iphone notch doesn't bother me as long as it isn't that dreadfull V-shaped thing that goes agains any other form on the front side of any smartphone. Please Nokia, PLEASE, give U-notches on your non punched displeays instead. They are far more simmetrical to the rest of the screen curves. Heck I would mind going back to what Sony still does, a proper upper bezel with a small selfie cam, problem solved. (by the way, sorry for all the orthograph mishaps in my reactions)

      @@AbdullaZaki I personally prefer the bar notch to the teardrop notch. Especially if they add better features like a better sensor or cool features like that TOF sensor for vein recognition like what LG did with the LG G8. It's either that or a punchhole. I've switched to LG for the dual screen feature and what got me to the V50 instead of the Velvet or V60 was my preference for the bar notch instead of the teardrop notch.

Of course there are gives and takes, in terms of some features, battery size and life, but all in all these differences are quite marginal. Hi Mr Nokia! I want to get a smartphone for my father...he's 79! I have been looking at the G21 with Nokia Comfort Earbuds for £149 or the C21 Plus for £100 with some old wired headphones of mine! Its for his rehabilitation after hip replacement! I thought he could listen to music while he exercises. I'd rather spend £100 obviously as the C21 Plus is no doubt all the phone he needs. I think the G21 gets an additional year of security updates so might be the better deal. But I would appreciate your thoughts if you have the time! Cheers!

    • @AbdullaZaki
      @AbdullaZaki  2 года назад

      Hi Tom, the G21 should also be noticeably quicker in day to day tasks and the extra power will give you a better experience if he plans on keeping the phone for a longer period of time. Considering the comfort buds in the deal, might make sense to spend more on the G21 if you can.

    Hi Mr. Nokia, I wonder why Nokia cannot pull off a device like the Nord 2, A52s, or Poco F3. I get that they cannot compete in the flagship segment, but considering that they price their x series phones similar to the ones I enumerated, why can't they at least come up with a phone that has high refresh rate OLED, camera with OIS, and fast charging. They don't need a solid R&D to have those. Any thoughts?

    • @AbdullaZaki
      @AbdullaZaki  2 года назад +1

      Its complicated but comes down to 2 things:
      1- They focus on different priorities. Like the durability aspects on the X10/X20, and the focus on 5G (big number of bands) and updates, all which takes up a cost.
      2- They don't have the same economies of scale to buy components for cheap. For example, OnePlus has BBK group, all buying similar components. Xiaomi/Samsung are giants that can buy a lot of similar components and save money on each. Nokia doesn't have this luxury, so buying any components for them will be more expensive.

    Maybe if you just use it very little but it has features that are useless imo.
    Like the 90hz screen (lagging while scroling) and the triple camera setup (only the main shooter makes ok pictures the other is just bad and can't seem to find how the third is being used)
    It would be better to have a better soc or more ram instead as it lagging hard while listening music and using the navigation.
    I minimized it by disabeling allot of apps and even the assistant.
