Excellent!! Thank you so much. I've been sewing 65 years - what a smart young woman and so kind to share with all of us. Will be trying this one!!! Best wishes.
Thank you very much for the mask pattern I've been searching for & didn't know it! This is very simple once you watch the video a couple times. The measurements in inches are as follows: fabric is 12 5/8" x 9 7/8". Corners are 1 5/8". Elastic - measure for the individual. I made (4) ties from matching fabric for securing the mask. I attached them on each corner of the end sections. It is so much more comfortable! This is such a fantastic mask - functional & looks great. I did add 1 layer of interfacing & an additional layer of fabric. It needs enlarging for most men, fits most average size women & teens, and reduce a bit for small children.
@@tresabechard3905 I made my own bias tape from 1" wide x 16" long strips of fabric. You turn each long side to the middle & iron, then fold in half, iron & sew. You need (4) ties for each corner. Hope this helps! If you need a visual, just Google "bias tape". 👍

Hello from a nurse in Georgia, USA. Well done! Clean lines, smart aesthetic. Definitely the best-fitting mask I've made. Thank you for sharing your talents with us.
I have bee asked to make 10 nurses on the cardiology floor here in Ga some masks (I believe my cousin said I am doing them for Henry County). Thank you so much for your comment I think this is the design I am going with for them!
B Sparks yes but a metal insert for the nose to fit closer less air leakage as well as a non woven bond able interfacing would provide better protection & that should be ironed onto the wrong side of the fabric at the beginning & a cotton fabric tightly woven should be used otherwise it’s just a large partial mask so if you can’t see through it when held up to the light then it’s good. Good luck 😁💖
B Sparks, I just finished making mine. It is a good seal, but I found that I had to scale the patten up or down by one CM in order to fit the different face sizes of my family when making them for others.
Definitely not a tight seal. Gaps across the bridge of her nose and not enough protection in front of the nose. Olson mask was designed by the medical community. Make those instead
I love this style, it’s smaller than most I’ve seen and fits my petite face perfectly, I saw her other video which adds a metal strip and a filter pocket. I think for a man you would have to start with a larger piece of fabric. I really like how it fits under my chin too. Fabulous. Thank you.
