Ingredients:
4 bread slices
½ cup cooking oil
1 tbsp ghee
2 cups milk
4-5 tbsp sugar (adjust to taste)
A pinch of salt
¼ tsp saffron
2 tbsp custard powder
½ cup milk (for custard powder mixture)
Dry fruits for garnish
Instructions:
Prepare Bread Cubes:
Trim the edges of the bread slices and cut them into cubes as shown in the video.
Fry Bread Cubes:
Heat ½ cup of cooking oil and 1 tbsp of ghee in a pan.
Gently add the bread cube pieces and fry until they turn light brown. Avoid overcooking to prevent them from turning dark brown and hardening.
Drain Bread Cubes:
Remove the fried bread cubes from the pan and drain the excess oil on a paper towel.
Transfer them to a serving bowl.
Prepare Custard:
In a saucepan, add 2 cups of milk, 4-5 tbsp sugar, a pinch of salt, and ¼ tsp saffron. Bring it to a boil.
Reduce the heat and add the custard powder mixed with ½ cup of milk. Mix well to avoid lumps.
Cook until the custard is semi-thickened.
Combine:
Pour the custard over the fried bread slices. Do not completely submerge the bread slices; keep a few crunchy sides for texture.
Garnish and Serve:
Garnish with dry fruits.

How long can i soak bread toast before serving
Is it ok to toast these bread because its too much oily then i can feed this to my baby
I too was thinking the same thing. I think it's quite possible.
Toasting the bread instead of frying it in ghee and oil will not yield the same results. The frying process gives the bread a unique texture and flavor that toasting cannot replicate. We recommend draining the fried pieces on a paper towel to absorb the excess oil, as showed in the video 1:25 . This helps reduce the oiliness. After draining, you can place them in the serving tray.
As for your comment about it being too oily for your baby, we understand your concern. While toasting can be a healthier option, it won't provide the same taste and texture. You could try lightly frying the bread in a minimal amount of oil to reduce the oiliness while still maintaining some of the traditional texture and flavor. Always ensure that the food is suitable for your baby's age and dietary needs.

Or you can airfry the breads... That also gives the same crispy texture to the bread.
