Beautiful vehicle. Solid review. I wish the gave us the option of getting thicker rubber 20" wheels instead of the standard 22" wheels, and did so at the fully loaded top level. It may be high end luxury and performance, but it's still supposed to be an suv, and that thicker rubber would be a smoother drive, and advantageous in certain locales, like ski country, and certain occasional purposes. Having the option of a second row center console between those Captain's Chairs would be great too. All in all, it's a beaut though!

So I think you’re incorrect about the third row. The regular body third row and the extended body third row on the Escalade are supposed to be the exact same size. The only difference is supposed to be there’s less room to put storage in the trunk area.

Why did you say "in floor storage," under the trunk floor and not say, "No spare wheel."? Cars without spare wheels are useless to people covering long distances and especially on bad roads where tyre damage is a real possibility. In Australia one can be hundreds of kilometres from a service station, out of mobile coverage and in an area not serviced by roadside assist. I have slashed a tyre on a steel drain protector and had to change the tyre; a puncture repair kit would have been useless. It as if all motor journalists have had brain surgery, to ensure they do not notice or comment critically that the full spare wheel and tyre has been deleted from most new cars. For me it is a game changer. No wheel, No deal.
