@Sledaddicz sort of I guess. You drove right by where my family used to operate our dairy farm. When you come out of the trees after concession 8/9 and you hit the feild a bit.
I'm still on the Fence about hand signals I think every corner should be approached like someone is coming the other way, reason # 2 people really don't need to be taking there hands off the handlebars #3 it's very difficult to even see what a person is signaling you#4 Most people don't know if there's another pack of riders right behind your pack so what you wind up doing is giving false information!! Just my 4 cents😂😂😂
I am always expecting sleds around the corner but I am still a believer in hand signals. It's not to tell you that no one is coming, its to tell you that forsure at least X number of riders are coming. Just makes it a bit safer. I have never had an issue seeing a signal, and as we mentioned, definitely don't do it if you are mid turn etc. and need both hands. Cheers, Jesse
I'm a fan of hand signals, but hands should only leave handlebars if you are in full control of your sled and the conditons/trail allow it...that's gotta be the priority, not the signal.
When I ride with my pack I'm usually the leader. I use like the hitchhike signal with my thumb going backwards. I tell the guys in the middle keep your hands on the bars the heck with that countdown I just don't see the point makes no sense. And then the last guy put his hand down so let everyone know no one else in our pack to me that seems like the common sense thing to do. I laugh every time you see the six sleds coming and everyone using the countdown I laugh every time. Especially when they're riding 50 ft apart from each other and you can see three people behind them just doesn't make sense. first guy last guy that's it
What are your first impression on the CKS mission Helmet, based on past reviews I bought the Oxegen and just love it I wear classed this really helps. Christopher Ottawa
Hey Chris. Mike really likes the mission but we still enjoy the oxygen as well. Stay tuned for an in depth comparison and review at the end of the season! Cheers, Jesse
Appreciate that man! Glad you are enjoying the content we put out. Apparently there is a big weather shift coming this week... let it snow!! Cheers, Jesse
Yup.. Its brutal. Even here in Ontario. Some areas got 6+ feet of snow and now 5 feet of snow is water. Will need tons of cold weather to freeze stuff up before we get more snow and can send groomers out. Cheers, Jesse
Hey Ron! Check out our earlier cochrane videos we do each year. The first trail usely opens in Cochrane in the first or second week of December. Then more and more open going forward and by boxing day at minimum we have our Top A open to our west border. Cheers, Jesse
Hey Chris. I liked it. Not crazy about the acceleration. Up top tons of juice but not much power down low I find. The power steering and handling is great but I don't love the rear suspension in the bumps. Cheers, Jesse
Thanks for all your work with PBR. My volunteer work with the club is much less significant than yours but I try to help. FYI - It's a common mistake, even for locals but it's Zevely, not Zeverly. I was also guilty of calling it Zeverly until I was informed a few years ago!🙂 Cheers!
Oh really?! Haha that's funny. Even Kenny says zeverly. I saw the sign by the bridge and it said zevely but I thought that was a typo. Good to know! Cheers, Jesse
@@sledaddicz Preston B. Zevely held mining claims in that area in the late '40s, hence the name Zevely Rapids. @abitibimac should be credited with providing me that info. He also provided a few photos on the new sign Kenny installed at the bridge in November.
Question about your comment on waiting for the trails to get packed before getting to the canyon. Are you waiting for sleds to ride the trails to pack it before getting the groomer on the trail? If so how would one know which trails are okay to ride even if on the we ofsc they are indicated red? I don’t mind riding un-groomed trails so would definitely go for it. I’m from the Renfrew/pembroke area but would make the trip up to Cochrane to ride plus help on trails that need packing, just don’t want to cause trouble. Thanks.
Thats a great question. I should have been more clear, my apologies! What I was saying is the groomer has to run all the way up to the canyon and back down to pack the trail without the drag. Then hook up the drag and groom the whole trail. Trail has to be packed before it can be groomed and the groomer would get stuck if it took the drag the first time breaking trail. Cheers, Jesse
If the Mack is too heavy in the front end, add more preload to the centre shock, get a set of digital scales from princess auto and do some suspension balancing, 45/55 balance, and 50/50 left and right when you're geared up and sitting on it. With proper suspension tuning you should only have 15-20lb weight difference between an 850 XRS and a Turbo R ruclips.net/video/O8FFQHetosw/видео.html
Thanks fellas.
Stay safe.

@Sledaddicz And that's why I appreciate your work, videos and efforts so much.
I'm pretty far away now.

The last picture of the video at that resting shack. Is that in quebec?
Yes! The picture in the outro? Good eye! That's the warm up shack just north east of Rouyn Noranda. Cheers, Jesse
@@sledaddicz yeah at the end. I remember that corner and hut. We didn't stop at that one but I do recall that corner.

Great video boys

Was an awesome few days of riding the trails you guys worked so hard on. They were mint! Hats off to you both and Kenny too! 👍🏼🥶❄️
Thanks buddy! Glad we were able to get out riding before I headed back south. Cheers, Jesse
Great stuff guys, thanks for the riding content. These videos hold me over while I am sitting here waiting for the snow to come. Cheers

Nice ride! Booked in up there on the 1st weekend of Feb, hoping the trails are as good then as you guys had.
Hey Peter! The trails will be better then! That's prime season. 15 cms of new snow and trails will be 10/10. Won't take much. Cheers, Jesse
What's the earliest we can go sledding in Cochrane? They must get snow pretty early?

Awesome to see you guys riding here north east Vermont still waiting. Quick question is Cochrane in Ontario?
Yes it is. North Eastern Ontario
Yup. Northern Ontario. Cochrane is where Hwy 11 (starts in Toronto) goes from North to West to head towards Thunder Bay. Cheers, Jesse

GoPro should make it possible to plug into an RCA plug .
Yes they should but we do have them constantly charging while we ride. It helps sometimes but they still freeze. Cheers, Jesse
