I stumbled on this video today and remember watching an old video of yours on 3 pt lighting. I saw your s type mount video and decided to try the item and maybe give new life to using my speedlites...I shoot dancers and use strobes,. Im becoming stale using my fav umbrella snd two strip lights with grids.....lost my big studion..Im shooting in a small space and rethinking my style of working. You really brought back so many memories mentioning old speedlights...ha ha vivitar 283 s ,,,two of them shooting into an umbrella....slow slow but I look back at my film work ...black and white and those portraits have soul...i did my own darkroom work and printing...messy....today of course I work with digital.....sometimes I think it gets a little to slick and I am guilty getting engaged with all the gear and complexity !!!But we have to go with the times and there are many things I like about digital....tho I fall into the vortex often!
I very much enjoy what you have to say about technique etc and look forward to more info and inspiration from you. Hugs from an aging sex symbol!

Thank You Mr Verosky, In My opinioj this is one to the best Equipment Training Video presented. I referred to this Video as I set up My small Home Studio. Two light Weight stands, and a C-Stand, Tripole. A Godox AD-200 Pro, and two Goodox V-860 Speedights, a 2 x 2 Softbox, a 34" Godox Glow EZ Softbox. I wanted to try to gear to begin my jouney in to Portait Photos vis small 9.5 ft and 18 ft room. At this stage I mostly iuse one light, and experiment a little adding the second light. Also, I have watched as many of your Video's as possible to help me learn Vs wandering off to others which I have discovered or not as good or helpful as yours, and as a beginner easily can confuse my efforts to stay with a discipline program of making solid progress. Sorry a long ramble, I just want You to know how much I appreciate Your Video's, and how much I have learned. In summary like a "Blind pig in a snow storm that finds an acorn", now an then I am able to capture a decent image. I love learning, and the journey to become a deccent Portrait Photography.

    Nice intro to lighting.
The advantage of strobes over speedlights is not just power but a modeling light.
Also LED lighting is becoming much more common...

Great stuff, Ed. Learning a lot from your practical, to-the-point videos and demos. I couldn't find the link to download the guide that you mention. Could you update the link or share it in a comment/reply? Thank you.
