I have done multiple single tank Bangalore Mumbai trips in my TDI Vento. This since 2012. Still running as efficient as ever. It helps that the Vento has a large fuel tank. But amazing to see this efficiency from a petrol car and that too from an Indian manufacturer. Altroz is up for consideration in my next purchase of a city car.
60 kmph in those Highways is insane, also with a lite foot driviing in 60 to 70 kmph would give better mileage. But please make a video if you drive normally keeping the speeds between 80 to 90, that's the common speeds which many of us maintain on open stretches, that would be considered true real time mileage.

It's actually a good car !! I just got my Altroz XZ+ DCA Version (Dark Edition) last month only. I just loved the product ❤️❤️ on high speed the steering gets heavy which was unexpected from a hatch back 🫣 just the missing feature for DCA is hill assist control.
My Altroz XZ NA manual I drove around 720km in full tank.. Avg speed maintained 85-95 and ac on over all the trip and MID milage was 23.8... Mine is 2021 model.. Ride quality handling, breaking, comfort was excellent

This is pretty awesome. I own Altroz XZ P manual April 2021 model. Last time when i travelled from my hometown to Bengaluru with full load without AC(my wife and daughter get headache with AC on) covered total distance of 750 KMs. I maintained speed of 80KMPH and got a tank to tank mileage of 23.5KMPL. And yes its pretty ergonomic and you won't feal tired on long runs. Very good highway stability with perfect handeling.
Even in regular driving conditions, if it would have crossed 700 km for petrol, the efficiency is really great. Tata has really impressed with the products they are selling.
I saw this video before buying Altroz DCA XZ model in March 2024. The mileage I get in city is around 12-15 kmpl, sometimes lower than 10 kmpl also. The mileage on highway is between 16-20 kmpl. On highways you cannot drive at 60 km because realistically you need to reach your destination on time or as early as possible. If you drive Altroz above 90 between the range of 90-110 kmph, the mileage starts dropping. The highways in Gujarat are such that even public transport buses are driving at 90-100 kmph so certainly you want your car to be driven at such speeds. Also when you make a halt for stretching legs, have some tea and then you start the car, you see the average would have dropped by 2 kmpl in the meter!! That was surprisingly shocking for me. I believe this video should be captured more realistically, driving at a reasonable speeds of 90-100, taking a short break every 150-200 kms, AC in the auto mode, that would have given some realistic mileage.
Fantastic honest professional skilful video and in appreciation to learn that in 37 litres 982 meters have been covered @ 26.5 km per litre. Great achievement.
Great video.. Just you should have AC on to see the result.. As you had both the Altroz.. That would have been nice info because no one drives without Ac these days..

Hi I am planning to buy DCA, I am based in Bangalore. What would you suggest. Now after your first service how much mileage does it give in city? Please suggest.
That's at constant speed of 70, but if you do the same test at 90-100 speed with AC on, things would have been very different, I expect anything around 20-22
we want more mileage runs like this, some conditions are responsible for mileage improvement, 1. Max 2 peoples in the car, and their luggage, 2. car is cruising below 70-80 kmph, 3. Well if the diversions and traffic blocks were not there, Altroz would easily reach Mumbai. But still 26.2 KM/L is good almost diesel levels of economy.
Nice average, but realistically speaking with normal driving even at 90 to 110kph and with A/C on with one passenger and luggage of two. I'm guessing it would give 21 kpl which is pretty good for a petrol car. Not to mention the it would take 12 -13 hours depending on traffic and meal breaks.
This is as expected weight of the car, DCT transmission dropping gears asap to high, less capacity engine, single person travelling and the good use of cruise control can get you but impressive nevertheless. I managed to get 14 km/l in the 3.2 ltr ford endeavour on a 350 km journey that also with 4 people and decent luggage.
Altroz DCA tank capacity is 37 litres. Plus it'll have like a litre reserve. So at the end you were already running on reserve given at the pump it took 37.01 litre.
