That’s why I wanna learn to do nails so I can do other girls nails and make sure there great and not half ass likes some nail techs do, that’s why I don’t even bother to get my nails done because no nail tech around my area really cares, they rush through your nails and want like almost 100$ for crappy nails 🤦🏼♀️ I’ve seen too many of my friends go get there nails done and it turns out like crap so I’m hoping to learn!
@@alexisharaughty1670 I have since started learning to do my own and it is so worth it. All of the things nail shops wanna charge you $5 for, cost cents on Etsy. Foils, bling, decals, stickers etc. I literally could open my own nail shop with everything I have accumulated so far

You should mention that your nail clippers are flat edged, and not curved! Could be useful for beginners.

Natalie MFP it just gives it a more curvier cut. A flat edged nail clipper just makes it straight so you can file it at an evenly way.
Natalie MFP flat edge clippers are easier to shape the nails and give it a straighter cut!!

I’ve always loved nails and I had been getting them done for years and I always observed, but never thought it would be the thing for me, but as I got older I ended up hating that I had to wait to get my nails done or I had to pay so much money for salons that didn’t give a fuck. okay i have 2 questions 😭
1. what is the difference between regular nails and clear nails ? like do you have to use them when during certain sets or if the client request them because they like them better ?
2: does it matter what you use to dry/cure the nails ? like with gel do you have to use the UV light ? and with the regular acrylic do you have to let them dry naturally like by a mini fan like at the nail shop ?
Tiquana Walker so the clear nails are better because these days people usually want colored acrylic,gel polish or some other kind of polish..clear looks better when doing those because instead of seeing white or off white when you turn the nails over you see whatever color is on the front of the nail! Hope this helps.
Thank you!! All other tutorials I've seen so far have neglected to detail the brush motions outside of picking up and applying the bead. That was where I was struggling most and my brushes were suffering because of it 🥴

I notice that your nail clipper has a strait cutting edge and mine is kinda curvy. Now i c y wen i try to cut the sides for coffin shape it be kinda round and not straight and it piss me off lmao never new nail clippers had different shapes. I definitely need to get another 1

The curved ones are really good for almond shaped nails!
Or just use some regular finger nail clippers. Which most everyone has on hand.
I have been watching your videos for the last week. It made me dust off my acrylic equipment. And want to get back into action. I love the detailed instructions. Makes it so much more comprehendable and makes it so much easier to apply with confidence. I do need to order a nail drill. As mine is very old.

Dont swipe the liquid on the skin. We can developed reactions! Myself and a fellow tech had severe reactions doing this. So I became a gel tech. I still get a little bumpy and itchy reaction, but not as bad. Please get out of that habit ❤
