Seagull Arising Star high wing trainer maiden flight

It's running a Turnigy G15 950kv motor fed by a 2450 mAh 35c 4s Zippy Compact lipo via a HobbyWing 60amp blue series esc.
For the flight it's using a 12x6 APC prop but the motor shaft is slightly bent,hence the horrible noise. A new shaft has been ordered.
It only needed less than 50% power to fly so I'll probably switch to a 5000mAh 3s pack for more duration than the current 6 mins. It'll also allow me to shed some of the lead that was neccessary to achieve c of g.

Thanks. It is being prepped for a memorial flight next Saturday. It'll be the first year anniversary of the owners death and he never got to fly the model. His family wanted to remember him by seeing it take to the air. Aileron rates now maxed out so it should have better rolls

Only loops mainly as the roll rate was really sloooooooooow. I've now maxed out the throws which should improve matters. Will junk the landing gear for the actual flight on Saturday

LOL, thought you were flying a muffler free ICE motor considering the noise at takeoff! But there was no smoke (unless you have plans to write off a ESC?????)!
Will look forward to a quieter iteration next time you fly with the prop shaft in good fettle. 😁😍🛫🛬

On checking the motor mount I noticed that the vibration had broken off one of the X mount legs. All fixed now with a new shaft and custom brass plate mount that'll add some useful weight up front. Next flight Saturday

I'm just glad I still remembered how to fly something with a motor on the front :-) It's a secret location where I have the premission of the farmer to fly. The grass was nice and long to cushion the landing so it'll be no undercarraige for the scheduled memorial flight on Saturday
