  • Ontario’s doctors, are concerned about the declining number of medical students choosing family medicine and say solutions are needed before the doctor shortage is exacerbated.
    Students are aware of the funding issues and administrative work associated with practicing comprehensive family medicine and don’t want to enter practice in a broken system.
    A staggering 2.3 million people are already without a family doctor and that number is expected to nearly double in only two years.
