It has taken me years to find this song AND I MEAN YEARS!!! I'm so happy I found it this song has been off and on in my head though I've never see the show at all but it's amazing what memories hit you from your past
I just found it. After 3 years! 3 years of asking and humming the song to people who looked at me like wtf is that girl singing? There has never been such a series. I even thought I made the song up in my mind! Hallelujah
I forgot what this series was called but I had a very vague memory of the intro theme and I loved it! I don't know why but remember the theme sorta reminding me of the Star trek: Next generation theme, maybe cos it's in space. Shame this only got 13 episodes though.
I thought I was going mad. No one else I no can remember this. Not even my sister who used to get up with me at the crack of dawn to watch these cartoons.
Its funny, how everybody has the same connection to this Show and especially to the themesong. That Intro/outro song felt so extremely special and the Show itself was kind of odd to me when i was a child. Now i finally found it like all the others in this comment section, thats precious!🙏🙏🙏
I used to get up about 6am to watch this on channel 4. I must have been about 6 or 7. I haven’t seen this in 30 odd years but it’s amazing how ingrained into my memory it still is. Bloody hell, where did the time go.
I know the feeling man. I could remember the name Clandestino and the melody of the theme song as it was similar to the Christmas song 'the most wonderful time of year' 😂
It's amazing that we used to get up so early to watch kids tv. It just shows how easily accessible things are nowadays, that kids can just watch whatever whenever they like. That Sat/Sun morning magic is now lost to the passage of time. My own kids wouldn't even think about getting up at that hour to watch a cartoon 😂
This cartoons makes me realise why the 80's was fun it was innocent, pure, and a way of escape from the cold harsh reality of the real world thats why a live-action anything wouldn't work in the movies because people today are too serious to do it right with the light-hearted tone atmosphere, and you can't compare cartoons to the real world....why? Because it's a cartoon duh. Also somebody please put this on DVD.
This comment section is like some group therapy session. I remember being up at the crack of sparrows to see this, I remembered the name of the program and the theme tune but everything else was a blur except for the evil fat guy in red. I can finally put this to rest now
Exactly the same as me. I remember seeing it on channel 4 when i was a kid in the early 90s. So i googled c4 cartoons and i went through every cartoon listed on the website on youtube and finally found it.
I don't know how many times I watched "The Little Fox" as a kid, and the Bluffers were advertised at the beginning of the tape. I only ever found one Bluffers tape for rent back in the day, but like the rest of you have said, there's no getting that theme out of your head once it's in there.
You're lucky you could remember the name of the show. I couldn't remember the name, nor much of anything that happened. Just a few scenes with the porcupine shooting his quills at some glass dome, and the rabbits singing about the world being flat. I was almost convinced that I had just made the cartoon up in my head. But, 25 years later, thanks to magic of Google, I just searched, "porcupine shoots quills at glass dome," and I was brought to this page.
It was my favourite cartoon on VHS (Poland there). It showed and explained a little "mystirious" things for children. Time, archeology, geology, science, technology, ghost&spirits (Halloween episod ;) ). I had good time watching this.
Maestro Frank Fehmers is the unsung hero of children's literature and cartoons - who else had the courage to launch Barbapappa, Dr Snuggles, Little Nicholas and this series? Also, a great raconteur and loyal godfather, though not in the Don Corleone sense ... long may he reign!
iwasonceakid The only way I could remember this show was the name Clandestino. That name stuck with me forever, regardless of how evil the guy was, it was an awesome name. And I also remember having a VHS time that was like... Just 4 kids entertainment that had 2 episodes on it.
I remember the pretty pink mouse with blonde hair - she was called Blossom. If my memory serves me correctly, the "secret to getting it ALL" that Clandestino was hiding was never revealed. Like Dungeons and Dragons, Sonic Underground (yes that's a 2000's toon but the trope counts), Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors and a few other cartoons, the ending never got animated. I'm not sure if the ending exists in script or storyboard form, but I know that D&D's true ending DID see the kids go home after defeating Venger (who is actually Dungeon Master's son corrupted by evil). That was revealed online in script form. Jayce in his story was able to get his father's half of the Magic Root to destroy Saw Boss (technically Jayce's half-brother as his father was one of his creators, similar to Flora the half human/half plant hybrid girl which makes her Jayce's half-sister). That was revealed online. Sonic Underground ended two episodes short, and that would have been a two-part that saw the Triplet Hedgehogs, Sonic, Sonia and Manic reunited with their birth mother Queen Aleena to defeat Robotnik/Eggman. That "Secret To Getting It All" remains an enigma to this day.
Very nice show and although critics found many similarities to other cartoons, I saw it as something unique and sadly underrated. By the way, Clandestino's name makes sense in several languages, good name for that bizarre villain.
I loved the Bluffers as a kid! I remember that the intro was in my language (Icelandic), while the show itself was in English. Strange :o/ Intro in Icelandic: Í Blöffalandi er beiskur vandi sem Blöffarnir berjast við, en Blöffar bara með brosi svara: "við breytum þessu brátt".... I can't remember more of it, anyone out there who knows the rest???????
OMG When I was about five I used to have a video with one or two episodes of this! NOSTOLGIA! I've been haunted by this show for years trying to remember it...
This is so my childhood. When I was sick and stayed home from school (which was a lot - newly diagnosed with asthma and had a father that STILL smoked in the house) my mom would make me Chef Boyardee pizza and I would watch the Bluffers on a VHS someone in our family had taped from the tv
DAMN i thought i was the only one. FOR YEARS this song has haunted me and for YEARS i've been searching online for it, not to sure what the title was but with only a song in my head. HileTroy - i salute you.
@ThePinkOracle Same story here. I saw it once on a video cassette from the video store then never again after that. I remembered the intro and some of the characters but that was it. It has been driving me nuts for years until I finally found the name somewhere on the internet and then found this video. Big load off my mind let me tell you.
See, I don't think there ever really WAS a "Secret of Getting It All." I think the secret was a ruse concocted by Clandestino to keep the Bluffers distracted so that he can shift his focus on other things, while the Bluffers concern themselves with obtaining it. He fools everyone into thinking it exists, including his dog and Sillycone. In the end, the Bluffers themselves are the ones being bluffed, and there's the irony of the entire series.
Actually, it was heavily implied in one episode that the secret does exist in some form. The Bluffers were able to temporarily distract Clandestino and infiltrated his castle and made their way to the deepest level where they came across as massive fortified door protected by multiple padlocks and electronic security devices/surveillance systems. They weren't able to get past the door's multiple layers of security in time though as a visibly panicked Clandestino (who kept telling himself that he couldn't allow the Bluffers to steal his precious secret) finally caught up to them and they had to abandon the plan.
I thought this 80s cartoon including its intro looked kinda pretty familiar to me as a kid. In 2014, I looked up for the information about this 80s cartoon on Wikipedia and it is actually Dutch because it is produced in the Netherlands 🇳🇱 (known as Holland). I did not know that. I thought it was American or Canadian. The stories revolved around the inhabitants of the fictitious land of 'Bluffoonia' and their ongoing struggle against the evil mad tyrant 'Clandestino' and his plans to destroy the forest in which they live.
Wow. I just searched this on google because someone said it in a comment on another video. I forgot about this. I remember it now though. Funny how that works. You have no memory of something, then you see it and it all floods back again. Bring back the old cartoons!! They were sooooo much better than what's on now.
I cannot stress how long I've been trying to track this show down! I had it on VHS as a kid, and had vivid memories of it. I searched for "the Fuzzles, the Fuzzly's, The Buzzles, the Muzzles" only when I searched for "Porcupine fires quills cartoon" did I find it! *Bookmark*!
Honestly, considering how dangerously unpopulated the place looks, even if Clandestino were to succeed in erasing the forest, there was likely no one that could be loyal to him other than Glum & Sillycone. None of the other animals like him & there are seemingly no other humans around, so presumably everyone else left Bluffonia at one place. Definitely feels like Bluffonia is just Earth in what seems to be somewhere in the 22nd century.
It might sound weird, but I have very early memories of watching this and shows like captain planet and, as weird as that may sound the thematic and the imagery, early on gave me the mind-set that I'm a human, inhabitant of Earth rather than a citizen of some man-made country.

I still remember this, despite only having had one or two VHS episodes as a kids. Question; can anyone actually make out the lyrics during the sung portion of the intro? I can make out a few lines here and there - "Can't get enough of your dreams" and "Your head is full of schemes", primarily - but not the whole thing.
This is not what I remember exactly. I remember this but not exactly the same. I remember the guy saying "The buffers!" Then a slide whistle going down and tap sticks.
Omg...I can't believe anyone remembers this movie! I can't find anyone in real life who does, though...I saw it when I was about 7, and that was like...13 years ago. Yeesh. lol I can't find any English vids of this but this intro, and that stinks. I'm trying to get in touch with my inner child. :-P

@alcores13 In Serbia this was showed on TV. No, secret was never revealed, but as grown up man it looks like that secret was capitalistic-imperialistic view of the world with mass exploatation.
It has taken me years to find this song AND I MEAN YEARS!!! I'm so happy I found it this song has been off and on in my head though I've never see the show at all but it's amazing what memories hit you from your past

Was kinda same for me.
Only I hadn't the song in the head but the opening, zooming at that globe and cartoon character pictures in space.
Man deep subconscious memories awaken.
I think i watched this when i was barley old enough to have memories.
djukor spot on, well said!
Dude same here! XD
I forgot what this series was called but I had a very vague memory of the intro theme and I loved it! I don't know why but remember the theme sorta reminding me of the Star trek: Next generation theme, maybe cos it's in space. Shame this only got 13 episodes though.
I actually love you. This tune has haunted me for literally a decade and not one person could help me.
I can sleep again!!!
I thought I was going mad. No one else I no can remember this. Not even my sister who used to get up with me at the crack of dawn to watch these cartoons.
I'm 47 years old & the theme tune just came to my mind. How? Why? 🤪
I'm Greek and I watched it too , I absolutely loved it , but no one else I know remembers it! It's obscene

Kind of funny you say that on a video of this show which had a deep & surprisingly dark message to it.
This theme tunes runs around in my head at the strangest times 30+ years on
This comment section is like some group therapy session. I remember being up at the crack of sparrows to see this, I remembered the name of the program and the theme tune but everything else was a blur except for the evil fat guy in red. I can finally put this to rest now
Epic but sadly short lived cartoon. Can't believe My Little Pony and Care Bears got like 5000 episodes but this gem not even 20!
Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors didnt even get a proper ending :(
@@SamusKerrigan Jayce is still one of my favourite cartoons nobody knows about it
@@adamsef Dude, you think THAT'S obscure? Ever heard of Anthony Ant, an animated series from 1999?
Clandestino=corporations didnt like thé message I guess
The search is over. I've been looking for this show, and specifically the episode about the multiplying brick road for years off and on.
ME TOOO!
Part one is here:
ruclips.net/video/hiSEZj4Dhy4/видео.html
Parts two and three should be in the video sidebar on there.
Oh my god! I've been looking for this cartoon for ages! The theme song always stuck in my head, but I could never remember the name of this series!

I can also imagine that he is considered somewhat the grandfather of Dutch cartoons, even if some Dutch cartoons have possibly existed before him.
Channel 4 early Sunday mornings... I'm thankful for my 80s/90s childhood

I watched this every Saturday morning ! My best cartoon and amazing theme
oh my god, i totally forgot about this one!

Tears in my eyes........
Clandestino still haunts me in my dreams! I dreamt of him chasing me the way he runs down the stairs, you know that fast walking style he had.

I remember this, it was so weird, it had to be the most depressing cartoon ever.
used to love LOVE this but always missed it!

It's not the best cartoon
I think this was on channel 4 when it came to the uk. My niece would certainly like wtaching this nice cartoon

I forgot about this. I remember it now though. Funny how that works. You have no memory of something, then you see it and it all floods back again.
Bring back the old cartoons!! They were sooooo much better than what's on now.
You think this intro is annoying? I actually like it very much.
I remember back in 7'th grade whenever somebody would play the big shot we all would launch into this song and put them back into place.
*Bookmark*!

Fun fact: Do you remember this Sonic the Hedgehog cartoon show called Sonic SatAM? Well, the writers of Sonic SatAM were inspired by this cartoon.
I thought id made this up as a kid cos no one else had heard of it or seen it, prob cos it was on at 5am lol
This rocks, cheers :-)
It might sound weird, but I have very early memories of watching this and shows like captain planet and, as weird as that may sound the thematic and the imagery, early on gave me the mind-set that I'm a human, inhabitant of Earth rather than a citizen of some man-made country.
I KNEW I DIDN'T IMAGINE THIS!!!
I never seen this show but the theme is kickass very catchy
I remember this ! I watched a few episodes.
The name of this show and the intro was burned into my mind and I only had the brick road episode on VHS XD
took me ages to find this, couldnt remember the name...
Corbezzoli, sì che me li ricordo!
Did they ever found out what the secret was?
I remember wondering what it could be when i was a kid.
I still remember this, despite only having had one or two VHS episodes as a kids. Question; can anyone actually make out the lyrics during the sung portion of the intro? I used to have a blank VHS tape when I was a kid with a couple of episodes of this show and let me tell ya this was a weird show, doesn't make it any better because it was a Smurfs knockoff
I managed to snag a copy of this from Ebay. To this day, it has yet to be put on DVD. BTW, the "secret of getting it all" was never revealed.
Hmm...that opening scene with the outer space bits...I wonder if Gene Deitch (the show's creator) had been watching the Raccoons TV specials (the Xmas Raccoons, Raccoons on Ice, the Raccoons and the Lost Star).
Omg lol, I still have a video with 3 episodes of this on there!
The secret of getting it on?
I watched the Care Bear movie yesterday and then my friend mentioned goofy snakes tonight and my mind started remembering weird movies like this. I had to bust out the old VHS pile to see what else was in there. what can i say it finally happened!!!!!!!!!!!
Created by Frank Fehmers (Co-produced and Based on an Idea by Gene Deitch)
I meant the song too. I actually like it.
You know watching this makes me think of the the Woodland Critters from the South Park Christmas episode that were thought up by Cartman when reading his essay to the class.
Ha ha, I remember this! XD
R.I.P Gene Deitch
I remember waking my big brother up so he could turn the TV on for me (I didn't know how) so I could watch this at like 6am or something.
I remember this one too! altough i dont have any clue what kind of stories those were...
As someone said who made this was on acid or something. LOL
I don't give shit on what secret is locked up in the fortress

hahaha me and my bro's used to get up at about 5 in the morning to watch this
@alcores13 In Serbia this was showed on TV. No, secret was never revealed, but as grown up man it looks like that secret was capitalistic-imperialistic view of the world with mass exploatation.
THE SECRET
THE SECRET OF GETTING IT OOOON
Getting it all
The secret must not be uncovered in a bad series
Lol! "Fast walking style"
