Small correction: After playing with the new Custodes Combat Patrol for only a few games, I realised I got really lucky in my few test games. The rules themselves, especially the secondary objectives are quite bad, though. Great video! Love that you covered the old boxes too! I liked that you called out AM and IG as hard to paint but I think Chaos Space Marines should have gotten that same callout. For me, trim was the hardest thing to learn to do well. And CSM have so much trim!
I just started building the new Custodes combat patrol and I'm impressed that the manual actually has instructions on how to build the models specifically for combat patrol (and for regular play), as well as images and names of the weapons. These boxes have improved a lot for a new player compared to the earlier ones!
Great video, well done!!! I haven't finished the video yet, so I apologise if you mentioned it, but the upcoming 40k magazine subscription has 9 of the CP's, including some of the older ones like orks. I know it's a long time to wait, but might be a good option in case you miss out!
if you had to give a "tier" to the incidious infiltrator combat patrol what would the rating you would give it ? and what is toughest and the better matchup ?
@@severintw Its a 2 hours video, so I used the bookmarks to skip around to the relevant factions. World Eaters are missing from the bookmarks, therefore didn't see them in the video. Your reply really comes across as being unnecessarily sassy, but I do appreciate the assistance, so thanks!
Great video, however I quite disagree with you on your assessment of the new custodes CP, the rules are horrible and very boring, I think they will struggle to win. No battleline units and hence no sticky objectives, blade champion cannot join any units and does not have lone operative, no deep strike on any units, stratagems and enhancements are terrible. Secondaries are very difficult to obtain, default only starts after turn 3!
yes, I'm an entitled brick, yes, I need a reality check. But you cannot imagine my disappointment in Combat Patrols when I had to select one for the GW Combat Patrol raffle (what a nice idea of market research btw). I was really mad with GW, because all the CPs sucked in my opinion. Either no interest in the faction or the model composition was too boring/bland or or already owning the models or the value was horrible - yes, we are talking about a raffle so potential free CP. What a stupid brain I have. Still... I'm personally not excited for any of these. I'm not in a hobby burnout (yet?!), but they don't get my enthusiasm going.

either spray the trim color you want then block in the panels, or prime black and drybrush your trim on first.

Great video. Subscribed. As I am most interested in Black Templars a minute longer with more information would have been appreciated.

@@ZipZamZach You are right. It does not sound friendly. Sorry for that.
Have you played Combat Patrol games with the new Tau box?
Oh, you answered the question!
No love for the World Eaters... same as GW, so quite on brand. XD
Edit: No longer an issue.

@@severintw Yeah that wasn't there yesterday. Great to see it got updated. :)
