I used to do that way too often unconcsciously (but now i conditioned myself not to it), even in school on the desk and on my laptop when I was writing stuff which prompted small complaints from the person sitting next to me (due the rhytm kinda forcing you to listen to it). Anyhow im just happy that they didn't know of osu and couldn't connect the dots since the impression would go from "seems bored but he's annoying" to "uhh freak so addicted to clicking circles for anime girls he has to simulate doing it in school" or some reaction of that ilk which wouldn't be a very good look (；′⌒`)
My friend beside me is a mega rhythm gamer. He 4keys on the school table and taps randomly. I do myself but he does it at a higher frequency and way louder.

I do 41 but I'm a mania player so I practice goofy ahhh 10k patterns. Some people have called me a wizard because I can hold all my fingers down and raise my ring and pointer and then swap to holding pointer and ring and raising the others. You try it, I didn't know it was something that's hard to do because I've done it so much.

honestly the most addicting part of this game is how stimulating it can get, like fuck the anime girls, the weird songs and the odd ass community, when i zone in on osu im in my 2nd heaven, and this isnt a over exxagerarion bejng in a zone state is equivalent to taking doses of weed, meth, coke, lsd, and some other drug (relax, everything is interesting, “hyper” , higher consciousness, drugs summary in a few words.)What i described is heaven and i dont really care if its on osu since i have to grind. But the worst part is you will only get better if u grind this game for several days or weeks cuz of stamina and pen grip, i wouldnt say im addicted since i have other stuff to do but if i had nothing to do it would be a different story

The isogu part is true tho. I can stream 200 bpm. I use that map to practice consistency at 200 bpm and to correct myself if i get off rythm. For that its a perfect map.
What its not good for is achieving higher stream bpm. For that i can suggest finger control first. Tripples, fives and sevens at the same or 10-20 bpm higher. Streaming comes later.
I believe tuna has a video on how to achieve high stream speeds. He did a stream on it like a year ago. Find it. Its somewhere on the internet. It will help.

Funnily enough I started the game right handed as a mouse player, but using a pen with my left is how I write and was more comfortable so I switched once I got a tablet.
I would actually buy the Wooting finger for Minecraft (Java) since it would massively help my fingerlocking while W tapping.

The worst part is how stimulating osu really is. In April last year i was playing valorant with my friend and had a lot of fun. July that same year i started playing osu again (i played before), and now playing valorant wasn't that fun. Partially for that reason i uninstalled osu and got on self-improvment (the other reason was me think about this game all the time 💀). But honestly my biggest problem rn is social media addiction, so uninstalling osu didn't matter that much anyway.
