Thanks. Good to see this demo. Dave will be happy that you are using his multimeter 😀

With the multimeter test, I believe you need to back probe one lead into the output wire and then spin the wheel to see voltage changes up/down on the meter. You seem to have only back probed into the input line which only confirms that the power coming into the sensor is good.

Multimeters might still not show this like a oscilloscope the meter it just taking an average voltage imo . There are analog sensors that are like you mention that change the voltage with speed on wheel speed sensors

Is the signal in the positive or negative?
Bad sensor? What if the airgap is to big or magnet ring completely damaged?

Would have to have no teeth left on the abs magnetic ring for it to not work at all. That's pretty unlikely. Probably would of made some terrible noises to do that.... and the sensor would also likely be damaged If that was the case. Good example of scope vs multimeter brendan

I have had this once where a spring from a handbrakeshoe damaged the whole bearing ring ( no noice was heard by the costumer) and sensor had a little scratch but was still working good. Good comparison scope vs multimeter.

I would still assume that we would remove the sensor as the suspect and inspect the abs ring at the same time if it is also damaged then replace both.

@@frankryan9948 Depends on the ABS sensor setup. Some of them are buried in the wheel bearing cartridge. Opening them up will destroy the wheel bearing.

Using a multimeter with a bar graph will provide a much better result
