In Korea or China none of these players would be paid over 500 a month. Just because they are born in NA or EU they can make money off playing a video game on an globally uncompetitive level. I mean Humanoid had a really good MAD year when they won everything + a great first year on FNC in which he actively challenged caps for the spot of best midlaner. The problem is these last 1,5 years he's just falling back into his older habits where its more inting and less clutching. I will say tho, like you can shit on humanoid all you want but the midlane pool in Europe is just really pathetic atm so I cant blame them for coinflipping humanoid will peak again. Like the other midlaners are just a guarenteed lose at worlds (besides maybe jackies who has potential or if they go back to finding great rookies).
I think it's because on his first year he felt like his team could actually challenge G2 with Wunder, Upset and Hilly plus Yamato. Since then he has seen the org replace every good teammate besides Razork with vastly inferior ones like Oscar, Rekkles or god forbid Rhuckz. I think Humanoid isn't the type of player who thinks 'right, I have a shit team but if I can be the best mid in the region we might be able to place higher than average'. He's most likely thinking 'right, I'm on a shit team, there's no way we will ever challenge G2, let alone any Asian team so why should I tryhard myself?'. I'm not saying that that's a good mentality, I'd actually say the opposite but it would at least explain his deteriorating play.
My personal opinion is our region has lost nearly all it's enthusiasm, and if G2 is out to BLG it will really make next year even worse as that would mean the best team in the whole region that went basically uncontested and won Winter, Spring, Summer and the finals basically uncontested can't make top 8 at worlds, so if that's the case what hope is there for anyone else. I think every single EU team needs a serious reality check and needs to make their players give a shit again, because 0-17 MAD and this FNC performance is going to infect the whole region if it hasn't already. I don't know what that involves but anything to stop them playing each game like solo queue would be a good start.
Failing to make top 8 is an arbitrary cutoff and imo is not that important. Failing to defeat the teams in front of you, however, IS a cause for concern. Doesn’t matter if HLE, BLG, and T1 are tourney favorites, a team that can’t overcome the best doesn’t have a claim at being the best. I wish both NA and EU would stop complaining/cheering based on draws to make an arbitrary top 8. This is Worlds, anything short of first place should be treated as failure, and if you’re the best then you don’t care who you play. Lazy regions.
I'm from NA so no bias but G2 got some rough draws, G2 is a solid team and at least unlike NA, your region actually plays the game so you can get new people in, we have to import washed up people from other regions cuz all the young pro gamers wanna play shooters here.

they even had the whole razork jungle game reviewing asian teams and how they use herald to open mid t1, but disagree with that philosophy claiming as incorrect. i dont know the game better than they do, but i know what LCK/LPL results are like at worlds and what FNC's are

I wonder if they could just pick up Zwyroo and bench Humanoid, or sell him to MAD/MDK. Zwyroo isn't amazing, but he seemed fairly stable and didn't do anything too egregious. If he pairs well with Razork, they keep Noah/Jun, and find a good top, then it would be a much better team IMO.

While I agree that WBG is not some great team, all the EU/NA content creators continue to gas light their own fans making them think the gap between LCK/LPL is minimal. IT'S NOT....FNC wouldn't sniff playoffs if they were in the LPL or LCK....maybe LPL because of the sheer number of teams. But to think that WBG and FNC are close to equal, wake up. They are not. NA and EU are NOT major regions based on talent and level of play. It hasn't been that way for years. Caps is the ONLY player in EU and NA that could start on a LCK or LPL roster of any significance and frankly would love to see him jump ship so he has an actual chance of winning Worlds. It's a pipe dream to think in this current World of LOL, no EU or NA team has a chance of winning Worlds. MSI yes, but now with two teams from LCK/LPL there, the chances are still less than 10% based on all the BOs they would have to win against teams significantly better than them. Humanoid was insane when he was in national leagues, he deserved the spot, but it seems like he doesnt care at all when he gets payed that much to do this shit. Idk why but he just always looks like hes taking the piss and doin random shit just because he can and still get the bag. I was so hyped for him in FNC because he was so insane in local Hitpoint league, but this is just laughable.
I mean it's on other LEC teams to step up at some point and be better than this shitshow of an org so they aren't our second team at every international tournament. You can say what you want about Fnatic and Humanoid (and believe me I started to actually hate watching them play to the point where I don't even tune in anymore) but they DO manage to get second every time even tho the last time they actually looked decent was with Yamato, Wunder, Upset and Hilly (which isn't a coincidence imo). BDS didn't manage to get past them, MAD didn't, the Vit super teams of 2022 and 2023 didn't and so on. Pretty much ever since G2 joined the league they have been our second place team every time aside from a hand full of splits where OG went to finals or in 2021 when it was MAD and RGE. At this point this is as much on the rest of the league as it is on Fnc themselves. LEC orgs besides G2 are just incredibly bad at building or managing functioning rosters. It's either 'let's throw millions at these super stars without looking at playstyles or investing in a competent coaching staff that can manage these egos' (looking at you Vitality) or 'we aren't making any money from league anyway and we won't win because we don't have Caps so let's just make this a marketing project for our Spanish/French fans'. All of the orgs that actually had some good GMing like SK, Schalke or Misfits are gone so there basically is no 'middle of the pack' anymore, it's just G2, then it's FNC, BDS and then it's just shitters from there (yes that includes MAD with their sub 40% winrate).

I think it's because on his first year he felt like his team could actually challenge G2 with Wunder, Upset and Hilly plus Yamato. Since then he has seen the org replace every good teammate besides Razork with vastly inferior ones like Oscar, Rekkles or god forbid Rhuckz. I think Humanoid isn't the type of player who thinks 'right, I have a shit team but if I can be the best mid in the region we might be able to place higher than average'. He's most likely thinking 'right, I'm on a shit team, there's no way we will ever challenge G2, let alone any Asian team so why should I tryhard myself?'. I'm not saying that that's a good mentality, I'd actually say the opposite but it would at least explain his deteriorating play.
My personal opinion is our region has lost nearly all it's enthusiasm, and if G2 is out to BLG it will really make next year even worse as that would mean the best team in the whole region that went basically uncontested and won Winter, Spring, Summer and the finals basically uncontested can't make top 8 at worlds, so if that's the case what hope is there for anyone else. I think every single EU team needs a serious reality check and needs to make their players give a shit again, because 0-17 MAD and this FNC performance is going to infect the whole region if it hasn't already. I don't know what that involves but anything to stop them playing each game like solo queue would be a good start.

Failing to make top 8 is an arbitrary cutoff and imo is not that important. Failing to defeat the teams in front of you, however, IS a cause for concern. Doesn’t matter if HLE, BLG, and T1 are tourney favorites, a team that can’t overcome the best doesn’t have a claim at being the best. I wish both NA and EU would stop complaining/cheering based on draws to make an arbitrary top 8. This is Worlds, anything short of first place should be treated as failure, and if you’re the best then you don’t care who you play. Lazy regions.

While I agree that WBG is not some great team, all the EU/NA content creators continue to gas light their own fans making them think the gap between LCK/LPL is minimal. IT'S NOT....FNC wouldn't sniff playoffs if they were in the LPL or LCK....maybe LPL because of the sheer number of teams. But to think that WBG and FNC are close to equal, wake up. They are not. NA and EU are NOT major regions based on talent and level of play. It hasn't been that way for years. Caps is the ONLY player in EU and NA that could start on a LCK or LPL roster of any significance and frankly would love to see him jump ship so he has an actual chance of winning Worlds. It's a pipe dream to think in this current World of LOL, no EU or NA team has a chance of winning Worlds. I mean it's on other LEC teams to step up at some point and be better than this shitshow of an org so they aren't our second team at every international tournament. You can say what you want about Fnatic and Humanoid (and believe me I started to actually hate watching them play to the point where I don't even tune in anymore) but they DO manage to get second every time even tho the last time they actually looked decent was with Yamato, Wunder, Upset and Hilly (which isn't a coincidence imo). BDS didn't manage to get past them, MAD didn't, the Vit super teams of 2022 and 2023 didn't and so on. Pretty much ever since G2 joined the league they have been our second place team every time aside from a hand full of splits where OG went to finals or in 2021 when it was MAD and RGE. At this point this is as much on the rest of the league as it is on Fnc themselves. LEC orgs besides G2 are just incredibly bad at building or managing functioning rosters. It's either 'let's throw millions at these super stars without looking at playstyles or investing in a competent coaching staff that can manage these egos' (looking at you Vitality) or 'we aren't making any money from league anyway and we won't win because we don't have Caps so let's just make this a marketing project for our Spanish/French fans'. All of the orgs that actually had some good GMing like SK, Schalke or Misfits are gone so there basically is no 'middle of the pack' anymore, it's just G2, then it's FNC, BDS and then it's just shitters from there (yes that includes MAD with their sub 40% winrate).
