You are the best. This is the best video to assemble this. I have no idea why they even bothered to add installation instructions in the box. It made no made sense. Others' videos on here seem as though they were just playing a game instead of helping. Thanks you are a savior. This was the best.

Thank you for taking the time to explain the three/five petal formation. Once you did this. I was able to disassemble and complete it perfectly the second time after watching your video without any mistakes, in just a few minutes.

I bought one of these things at the CNE years ago and got incredibly frustrated when i could not follow the directions on the paper OR the video. I have assembled barbecues and furniture from instructions, and look at this! all the pieces are the same! How hard should this be? What is wrong with me? I dug it out yesterday and within a short time I am putting pieces together and more important to me is, I think i see where i was going wrong before. I liked the details you put in about how many petals are on the flower and the slot rule, thanks. My pieces are all white so it is easy to get lost. It looks like there are 4 ways to hold the piece and that seems to be the "puzzle" element. It's been so long the lamp doesn't match my decor anymore, I'll assemble it and take it down to value village but at least I'll know I beat that "puzzle" lamp.

How do you add the elektric cord? We've been looking at numerous tutorials but can never find one with the cable assembley included. Plz help, we are getting desperate ;)
You put it in the very top where the pieces coming together make your final five petal flower/swirl. This would be the area of where the final pieces come completely together to complete and close the sphere. It's a good idea to put in your cord and adjust where the bulb hangs inside (the very center is ideal, too close to the top or bottom could melt the ABS plastic, though an LED bulb should be used. CFL bulbs are acceptable, but who really wants those mercury containing health hazards in their home? LED is the way to go! ^_^) before you completely close up the top. I know this question you asked is rather old. But, I thought I should supply a solution just in case anyone else had the same issue. :)

I have the IQ lamp, but the new ones look like they are cut different than what is shown in the video. Mine wouldn't work.

What about the other shapes, I've been trying to get my lamp together for 20 mins now... and I want the 27 piece diamond shaped one.
How do you add the light in? Does the heat from the light not burn or melt the pieces?
Don't exceed 40 watts on the bulb and it won't melt the pieces. The best bulbs are CFLs or LEDs.
