He's definitely using the clutch and taking his sweet time to change gears. Would like to see this with a newer ZX-10R and a...less portly pilot who knows how to shift.
@@BoostITFORwardI don't know if the new zx10 would beat you too. I think the only liter bike that could stay with you or beat you til 170 is the BMW S1000RR.
You make the best videos of someone that has cars. I’m a local guy out of Milford/white lake area. I hope to run into you a local meet this season. Keep up the good work.
I own both a HP4 BMW and a 2014 911 turbo (recently on the car). A lot of factors in that race, but a win is a win. Not many guys weigh 140 pounds so what you encountered is common with both rider size and ability (shifting). I have a lot of experience on bikes and weigh about 175 pounds and it takes about 900+ whp to take me on my bike. I'm trapping 153mph or so on it at the dragstrip. It tops out around 190 but cars usually have that very high top end that bikes can't match, mine included. Thanks for posting your videos!
I know how fast my R1 was and your car walked away from the zx10 so I am very impressed. I personally would not have let off the gas shifting the bike but that’s just me.
I don’t think so...but you never know. :) Got to wait until they come out and depreciate first. I’d rather not take the initial hit - it’s always the biggest one. 😊
The bike was short-shifting. Bike will pull hard to 16.5k, it was being shifted at around 11k, shifting gears to keep the engine out of its sweet spot for power band. He's also using the clutch to shift, but the ZX10 has a quick shifter.
Okay, as a bike guy, I'm not sure I get the logic here, so someone please explain it to me. You take a car that has an MSRP of almost $200,000, invest several thousand more dollars in modifying it, and then race it against a nearly stock bike from 2013 that could be picked up on craigslist for $7,000-$8,000, and that somehow translates to bragging rights? I don't get it. Also, a full aftermarket exhaust, k&n filter, and ECU flash, literally just about $1,000 worth of mods would add about 30 HP to this bike. Combine that with a lighter rider, and you'd be looking at an entirely different power to weight ratio.
Called that one ;) Great video, and glad to see some runs again. Basically every 40lbs or so is good for 3-4mph from my own personal experience on bikes in the 1/4. So if you had a 120lbs jockey on there, I think the bike would get a huge hit out at the start. Especially if the rider was able to start in 1st gear. No doubt the Porsche would start to mph the bike, but it's a question of when. You should see if you can find a capable smaller rider that would be willing to try it for shits.
Hey brother...yes, I think I may do a part 2 with a 160’ish lb rider on that same exact bike with the same run conditions and see the difference. Would be educational. 👍
Disappointed to hear about the 911tts 🤨! Agree with your assessment of what would happen with a lighter rider. Power is related to the speed cubed, that’s why aero matters so much, once you get to the higher speeds, and power/weight becomes less important for acceleration, because it’s simply a linear relationship.
Great page ! You’re videos are awesome. You being humble about it ... keeps us watching On the Porsche all you have is Inter coolers , exhaust , tune and race gas ?? What brand exhaust do you have ? I watched all videos but can’t locate where you speak about it Thanks !

Maybe a rider mod would do for a better match, but over 170 mph almost any bike ( a Kawasaki H2R won’t) would struggle to keep up with that monster Turbo S. Great job!
Hi long time fan of your channel and fellow 991.2 tts owner here~I'm just curious if you have any transmission issues with the current setup and why you haven't upgraded it. Also Why you haven't tuned your ECU yet. Debating whether I should start tuning or not.

I like to see race between car and bike ! Your car is fast no doubt. I'm motorcycle guy (mecanical, turbo builder and tuner). Many things can affect the performance of a bike. The drive skill have great impact on the performance. On 1000cc bike, with same rider weight, i can run 1 sec faster on 100-200km/h than the owner drivers on his bike. Second, the the weight of the rider have huge impact and in your video, the driver seem weight 300 lbs ! That's kill the performance more than you think. Third the ZX10R is very restricted by the company. You can got 40 whp at high rpm with simply derestriced the ECU. If you do all this things, it will be another race result. Most motorbikers can't handle speeds above 140 mph. They just can't handle it and tend to chicken out. They do very well off the line from a dead stop though because of that P/W ratio.
From 2018 bikes, with quick shifter and lighter jockey with more skills and proper tucking, will definitely smoke any car (within the 700-850 HP) until 300 km/h
That’s an example of overweight.. bike can only accelerate quick because it is super light.. not because of overpower.. in the other hand, car can’t accelerate quick not because the lack of power but it’s because overweight.. But in this video the porsche has 700 WHP it’s not HP
I love your channel and respect your comments however, there's HUGE difference between a rider that can't shift quick enough and doesn't weight a ton vs someone who had experience and doesn't add too much additional weight.
