In this tutorial, we will learn how to create a side menu with a smooth slide-out animation, also called hamburger menu. These kinds of menus are often used in Android apps, but can also be useful in iOS apps as an alternative or addition to tab bars.

nice thanks, 2 nice additions would be to dim the main view while the menu is displayed and also, it would be nice to control the swipe like the gmail app, right now you need to do the drag gesture then after the menu is dismiss, the menu view should should be offset in realtime (right to left)
Thank you for you're lecture. I will promote your channel in my blog.
Can you please help me with screen redirection in other views as well? I can say If I tap on profile it must redirect to profile screen, and same with other options too.
am I able to keep that hamburger button where its at without the open menu button in the middle of the screen ? or will it get screwed up if I delete that button from the center of the screen
Excellent tutorial. Thank you!
Background music is very impressive
Doesn't work correctly in on the Max platforms or iPad, initial screen doesn't show bar title, when click menu, then view slides in but it is what should have been there initially and it is too narrow, when hit menu, then menu view is truncated from left.
clean and neat very helpful thanks
Instead of a navigationView Can I just code a floating bottom to be placed at the top right corner and have it open up the side menu?
Is there a way to move the slide the navigation bar of the main view over when the menu view opens?
You did explain how to show menu only , this is not a complete tutorial , all the problem is how you can tab on menu then close the menu and change the view
it's tricky , I hope you update this video or create new one explain can we do that ! , Thank very much
Thanks, I learned a lot !
i got error in VStack(alignment: .leading)..why??
what about swipe? how i can open menu by swipe?
Wow, that's amazing
Hello, super Tuto. But I can't create a link from the menu to a new view. Do I need to use a button or navigation link? And where to put him in the code? Thank you very much:)
Im wondering how to do the same thing as well.
Hey there, thanks for your feedback! For your question, please take a look at this tutorial: www.blckbirds.com/post/how-to-navigate-between-views-in-swiftui-by-using-an-bindableobject
thats really awesome (except the annoying music)
Do I need Geometry Reader?
You need it if you want your layout's size to by dynamic
the music is really stupid
