“Space Dog” was a UK local station’s early 90s attempt to produce a miniseries that would “Combine Winnie the Pooh with Hamlet in space”. However, their plans fell short when the first episode ended with the death of the main character’s father, leading to thousands of complaints from parents, leaving the station no choice but to cancel the rest of the show. Due to the high budget of the production, the station was forced to shut down. Argonaut Software, co-developers of Star Fox, would move into the defunct station’s building the following year. While no one has ever mentioned Space Dog while talking about the Nintendo shooter since, its influence remains obvious.

Nintendo and Jim Henson company need to get on the production for this asap this actually looks amazing. It's messed up that an AI can come up with a better concept for a show or film than a majority of the brain-dead writers and producers today.
I agree; this should be the basis for a live action "Star Fox" anime. :)
But the concept wasn't thought up by an AI? It was a small station in the UK and the show was called Space Dog
To avoid being wooshed i will just ask you to take a closer look at the description
@TheTuttle99 like random said check the description. I really hope your trolling...
They kinda already did. Miyamoto actually went straight to Brian Henson to make the Fox, Falco and Peppy puppets for the Direct that announced Star Fox Zero.
Effectively, Star Fox are part of the Muppet family now.
First two pic look like a educational show about a father and his kid learning about the world history, science and other stuff. Last episode will reveal this takes place after a nuclear Apocalypse that ended mankind.
I was getting more Dune vibes myself. Meanwhile, inbetween it went from puppetry by Jim Henson and downgraded to puppetry by Gerry Anderson
Wait... How is it that your description is so familiar? Where have I seen that plot before?
@@fmaximun I think the best matching description of the plot is from the show "Once upon time, Man."
Lol
@@vellothedreepy5930 It's fake
And when asked, Shigeru Miyamoto, the creator of Star Fox, simply replied with "This was all a complete incidence as I didn't know there was a show called Space Dog, and the use of puppets for Star Fox Zero's ads, I admit, is making this connection feel like it's planned, when it wasn't."
Fun Fact: the second episode and onward was more interesting. It involved the protagonist, grown up, leading a rag tag group to stop the enemy.
I had the copy and it was awesome. Sadly the VHS got messed up thanks to years of tear....
This looks like one of those shows that look adorable, despite the fact the story can get really dark sometimes.
Remember that episode with the children soldiers?
That genocide episode really had me barking.
@@ska4dragons Which one?
The one where Andross use a biologocal weapons?
Or the one where the Aparoids basically Nuked a planet with asteroids?
The memory of Pigma slowly becoming that Aparoid-infested... Thing sticks in my memory the most. I know he was scum, but he succumbed to a fate that revolts me.
It's so sad to think about this stuff. Watching this video made me sniffle up. I know it isn't real but this, this touches my heart as if it was any other show I watched as a kid, reminds me of the old times when we would watch stuff on VHS and just live life care free.
Nostalgia Rush!
Awww. I absolutely love this! As a kid I drew things like this. Wish this had been a real show back then.
What did your pictures show?
@@veronicaporras9246 Cartoon animal characters in sci-fi settings.
Anthropomorphized creatures from other planets...mixed in with regular, identifiable anthropomorphized cats, foxes and bears. Pretty cool stuff
out of all the channels doing this i respect yours the most. youre creative with the titles. Everyone else just does "80s dark fantasy" like there arent any other genres to try 😂
Thank you!
80s dark fantasy makes some seriously cool shit though but yeah very overused now
@@AILostMedia I have an excellent Idea: the short lived 2010 sitcom based on five nights at Freddy’s (the animatronics all work in an office and Balloon boy is their boss).
They always choose the same games too. I'm sick of Bloodborne. lol

The way AI is going, I don't give it long before AI is creating any movie we want to see by just entering the parameters and sit back and enjoy.
I think it can be done. But for more consistency, maybe a human can tell the ai what to do with what is created, and the ai can make it reality. Like you could tell the ai to do a scene a certain way and it will do its best to make it the way you envision.
finally the badass fight scenes inside my head can finally be real
I believe that is called the Holodeck
The scripts for the 4 episode story arc where Dog crash lands on the planet of prehistoric creatures and meets his love interest, the brown dog Amethyst, are some great pieces of television writing. It's a shame they never got produced.
It is Jim Henson's: The Muppets in Star Fox!
Don't remember the title of the show, but all I remember is that a father dog was trying to protect his son from the galactic space war with cats. Obviously since the father was a single parent, he had no choice to bring his son to his job even though it was incredibly dangerous. Little did the dad know until the later episodes, his son was really cunning and helpful during the whole adventure. Episode 3 really showcases this when he found out the cat's weakness was water. So he told his father and his crewmates they should build a base on a water planet. Really interesting show premise, really wished they made more episodes since it ended on a cliffhanger :"(
Now we need homestar runner 90s sitcom
Oh man, that’d be so nightmare inducing
These pictures remind me of the weirdest dreams I had as a kid
The next step is generating animation. Imagine the AI rendering a movie out of this - that’s the future of entertainment.
Was thinking the same. We'd go to theaters and all view a movie that literally no one has ever seen before.
Yeah, or imagine telling your phone to make a star fox movie while you’re on break at work - voice acting included, full 3D rendering. The technologies are coming together for that.
Imagine taking the idea of, instead of automated the tedious, menial jobs so we can focus on creative and other such pursuits, we made ai to take away those jobs so we can just be stuck with the tedious, menial jobs but still get our dopamine fix.
AI could also generate full scripts.
Please no.
The lost 2000s horror movie that inspired Splatoon
The 2000s film that inspired No Man's Sky.
Maybe you could do one like a lost 80s film of garfield but its a sci fi adventure . Like action fantasy in a way
Looks like a real show. Looks very intriguing and adorable.
Kind of "The Last Starfighter" for the 90's. Cute video.🙂
Watching this makes me really wish studios would go back to using puppets and physical models.
They just have this quality to them that can't possibly be replicated with CGI.
Yes this definitely feels like an early 90s puppet show.
0:16 i like the planet icon
The AI seems to have a thing for making puppets with 6 fingers
I see some potential with these screenshots… With enough imagination, this could be a decent but fun 78-episode sci-fi adventure. :)
Your music choices are impeccable
Can you do The lost 80's horror movie that inspires Five Nights At Freddy's?
Looks like something I would see on PBS.
Instantly recognized 1:30 as Tatooine.
George Lucas found out about that and then sued and brought the rights to the studio. This why we can't see the flim
I don't know if that's intended to be Billy Dee Williams at 3:26 but I love the idea of him being the only human in that universe.
1:01 I like how nothing in the helmet is recognizable except for one human eye eerily peering out of it.
I have a possible piece of lost media. It was a hot wheels game that you could play on your phone, i don’t know about other platforms than mobile. It was a 2d like racing game that was like those old car parking games you would play on the web when you were a kid or something, with the iconic top down camera view but instead of parking cars, you are racing hot wheel cars. The control scheme was some sort of wheel on the left side of the screen, and then the pedals (either had both brake and gas or just gas my memory is fuzzy). It was quite old, roughly from 2013-2014 or something. You collected hot wheel cars by completing levels i think. I think there were boosters on certain tracks that made your car go faster, and there may or may not have been power-ups to screw over your opponent’s. I think i played it on an iphone 5 when i was little. I downloaded on the app store so it clearly was not some web browser game (or maybe it was, web browser games can become apps you can get on phones). I forgot the name of the game, it was like hot wheels racing among those lines or something different than that.
Maybe you could do something from the 70s or 2000s next?
This reminds me of how some of if not the first promotional images for Star Fox were what looked like a stop motion puppet of Fox McCloud, and maybe friends, but I do clearly remember the Fox one. It would be awesome to see a stop motion Star Fox movie in this vein, just up my alley!
This is easily one of my favorite mid journey creations ever
This is amazing and Star Fox is byfar my favorite franchise. I must know the keywords used in the creation of this art.
Shigeru Miyamoto would wake up every Saturday morning just to watch it!
Just found your channel and love it.
Try and add some talking shots going forward (like they were frozen mid scene.)
All the vids feature shots with closed mouths open in grimace: exertion. Dialogue shots will help sell the faux movies.
Also loved Slippy @ 3:27
This show was actually terrible, but Reggie and Iwata both watched this when they were kids those many dark summers ago. That's why they did that tribute for E3
That looks really good! It’s crazy what ai is able to create when you feed/train it the right stuff. Good luck on whatever you make next. Too bad after cgi got good they stopped using puppets/animatronics.
Seriously?!!! Disney kills off the parents in all their films and they never get complaints!
when wes anderson inevitably loses his mind, teams up with moebius, jodorowsky and ridley scott, he will make that movie
This looks awesome!!! I like how this AI make these pictures look real! I absolutely love it
Can you do, The Lost 80s Dark Fantasy Film that inspired Fire Emblem?
The first two is a show simply named “moon” the last episode ep: 36 were the baby pup gets lost on the planet moon so this kicks start the show “wander over the moon” on last ep ep 37 the pup get found but hes old now. This transitioning into “star pup” the game on the super game & watch (snes in this universe & star fox) so well thank u for comin to my ted talk
Awe man, so good 👌👌
Love the video description, and the strange nostalgia I get while watching. It's as if a friend told me about his favorite show he used to watch with his brother as kids, so it's a show I haven't seen, but one that I feel a shared nostalgia for, if that makes sense. Haha
Also, the completely non-anthropomorphic cat wearing armor at 4:45 is gold. I love the idea of a show having dozens of puppets, then just one real cat in the production, probably just someone's cat they wanted to put into the show 😂
Amazing content
I feel genuinely sad, that this isn't real.
Show this to Nintendo and tell them they need Jim Henson on this
Dude.. i want to make this an actual replica puppet show from the 80's
Wow. For a moment I though this was an actual piece of lost media recovered. Overall very creative
Holy shit, its like if Steve Gallaci's Albedo Anthropomorphics Erma Felna EDF got a show...
So a weird Winnie The Pooh ‘Hamlet In Space’(which honestly can be used to describe Uchuu Majin Daikengo)
Man I love the _piece of history_ on the description! Such a shame the show ended on a clift hanger!
**cough** Can you do Mother 3's show?
I need to stop watching these videos because its scary me how AI can do this
They should make movie out this....
Very nice. Somehow the visual style remind me the SF Japanese 1980s series Bomber X (Star Fleet or Xボンバー - Ekkusu Bonbā)
2:55 - Ayo that’s Doggie Kruger!1
This is nuts!
well actually miyamoto was inspired by the series thunderbirds for that first "puppet" style, even in starfox 64 they speak opening their mouth like muppets do
Ah, it's a pity. The original video with the character design closer to the franchise was jsut much more charming. Do you think you'll ever make it available again maybe on another platform?
Stil this an interesting look, a bit like what the society that Alf comes from might look like.
I actually downloaded the original, now deleted, video precisely because how much I liked it
@@yoshidracos.a.1125 Oooh, do you perhaps happen to have an interest in sharing this with other people? :D
Hey guys made the old video public. It seems RUclips changed their policy for AI art recently so go ahead and enjoy

Anyone reading this comment please remake starfox as a 90s children show it has Been gone since I saw it
Space Cats?!
When in a dream I said, "Can I take a picture?", I got permission from them to take a picture, and when I woke up from my sleep, I imagined that it was a picture saved on my phone. Crap.
3:15 Foxy, Otis, Bengi and Red
Man it would be cool of what krystal would've looked like
Please do more of the black and white films!
Should be another expressionist vid next week!
Idea: Plants Vs. Zombies as an 80's horror film
The Lost 90’s show that inspired F-Zero
damn now that's a good idea.
@@AILostMedia pls do ittttt 🥺🥺🥺 I can’t find any AI art of F-Zero anywhere on here
Starfox, we are in your debt.
What ai prompts do you use to generate screenshots? I've tried but it comes out as just plain art
So Jim Henson and Gerry Anderson got together and made a show. At least, that's what it feels like.😀
I love cassette futurism
Do a theme song for it
Where the Krazoza Spirits at?
Didn’t you already do a ‘Star Fox as a 90s show’ video?
I did but I had done this one to not infringe on the copyright as much. But its seems youtube changed their AI art stance so I made the old video public again
I see
What about a video of doom, a show or movie of early's 80's AI, or maybe a super mario one
I did a Doom one.
5:40 There is a imposter 😅
Guardians of the Galaxy: Lylat System Edition!
you should do one based on SCP
Trying to find which of these images has the main character. Presumably 1:01
you should do a SM64 one
Can you feed an actual show, into the AI and make another show? I bet you can, only matter of rendering time.
Cool
Todays sci fi tries too hard. Just go simple with gray boxes/walls, random colourful blinking buttons everywhere and big ass computers without any touch screens or floating holograms pls. Oh, and a grainy feeling to it like the 80s did should have never been removed from cinema smh.
I don't think anyone would hold it against you if you remove those extra nostrils in post.
What happened to the original video?
See the community post. He took it down for copyright reasons.
@@jackcimino8822 Well I guess that explains why most of the foxes in the video were replaced with cats.
Can someone tell me if this was a real show or not I want to watch this
@@Imlewtrollerbob It's obviously not. He just likes to add backstories to "shows" created with Midjourney
@@Imlewtrollerbob No, this is all AI generated.
how about The Lost 80s Soviet Sci-Fi Horror Film That Inspired Metroid Dread
The images are incredible. I want to generate some with those filters, which ones do you use specifically?
Ok kinda wanna see this now haha ☹️ AI can make the cutest creatures ever 🤣
What is the AI You Use Dude
I both love and hate that this has brought on so many ideas, yet at the same time no one will be able to hear them unless you could put a microphone into my brain because the moment I stop thinking I forget about it.
Write them
@@yoshidracos.a.1125 That's easy for you to say, even in the process of writing them some is lost.
How sure are we that this wasnt a real show?
We don’t lol I always wonder if some AI are images from another timeline…
Okay, I kinda hate this channel… I want these movies. Makes me think of how much I love turbo kid. I’m sure someone could let these programs write a script with pictures and it could be shot from it story board. If only I had the money…
Do angry birds, it would be funny
Do gravity falls next? Or the lost movie that inspired five nights at freddys
Darn it, just darn it. Why couldn't this have succeeded?
edit: Wait, this was fake?!?!?! well, you certainly had me fooled....
