      It's called "Don't Let It Get You Down": the song at the beginning is the theme song. There's a guy in it called Lew Prime who was a main actor.

      Come On Into The Sun by Normie Rowe, but the Soundtrack LP has it by Jim McNaught with the same backing track, note that everything in this clip is 8% fast, which is due to the transfer of the film, so everything is chipmunk like.
