Looking forward to seeing the finished stand. Well done everyone involved. I've said for years we should fill the corners in, that would make a fantastic stadium... keep going Sid.
Excellent video on the development. Clearly a challenging project led by a very skilled director committed to producing the very best outcome - fit ultimately for the championship!
Let's save everyone a bit of time and effort and get this sorted now. The new-look Bishop Street stand will now be named the Sid Pepper Sheer Will and Determination Stand.
What a fantastic guy Sid Pepper is. There is someone who knows his stuff, passionate about what he is creating. Exciting times for the club. Can't wait to see it 😍
Great innovation there, thanks for taking on this challenging project. Will the stand be accessed from Bishop Street as it was years gone by or from Quarry Lane. Oh yes, Stevo, the hard hat, must have been a squeeze to put on.
Absolutely brilliant update. The supporters always want updates on these things, and this is a fantastic, in depth assessment of where things are at. And looks to be in fantastic hands of a knowledge local builder 👌
Pleased it’s getting done up. Sat in that stand with my late folks for my first ever away game with Lincoln in 1975. We lost 3-1 with close to 15,000 in the ground. What an atmosphere it was 👍🏻
In the long run it will probably be easier to take the existing concrete out and reforming with to meet current specifications and it will help with continuity with the two side extensions it may also help to provide better toilet facilities I’d take the steels down to and have one structure with the boxes and incorporating the boxes it will look neater.
Having only been to the ground twice, as a visiting supporter, the contrast between decent stands on three sides and the derelict stand down one side made the ground look very odd. What I never realised was how little room there is between the pitch and the ground boundary on that side and obviously that in itself has caused enormous issues in terms of practicality. I suspect that young Mr Pepper will never retire, because he loves his job too much!
@@willhopewell Cheaper , Quicker , it's going to take 3 seasons . Common sense would have ripped out the whole lot , a few days after the last game 2024 , the concrete would be done by now ,steelwork on way being erected , done by end of this season . So thats 2 years ahead and 2 years revenue , while He's still scratching his head , cos of all the B.S, off H&S .
@@emclearance5694 Youre not involved so you dont have a clue do you.... so easy to say just knock it down and re build it when its not your money. Knocking it down posed the risk of being unable to build anything at all due to planning permission, so you're absolutely wrong with everything youve said.
Typical British . A 1930s construction , and mess about to modernise . Shotblast and repaint structure L>O>L> .. Most Countries , would dig the whole lot out , start from new , for latest building laws . They'd have it done from when this project was started to summer 2025 . All the steelwork would be made by now sat in a big yard waiting to be taken to the site .
All that hassle involving 3 years work for 1,500 fans . L>O>L> , . A complete demolish and new concrete terracing with even half roofed for now , would have seen it finished ready for 2025/26 new season , 2 seasons ahead of 3 phases . Thats 2 years more revenue . I would'nt bother with putting boxes on the roof . Put them in the corner at a later date , then there joined to the main stand .

Superb video 👏👏👏
I like this bloke.
He does remind me of an older Sam Allardyce though.

Tight fit that stevo
Brilliant man …oufc
It’s going to look amazing when it’s finished, great work Sid
Got a soft spot for Mansfield, did my bus and Hgv tests down there.
I came here with my non league team that i support in 2017 and it was derelict. What is taking so long to sort this out?
Will this stand be big enough for chesterfield fans
Depends how tall they are...if they bring along a friendly giraffe or two...probably not!
Oh dear this is going to end up costing John millions.
No the whole point of this and doing it this way is its much cheaper and quicker than knocking it down and building a new one

@@willhopewell Well the Club asked People to COMMENT . So People are Commenting . I shall be back in 2 years , to see how it's going along .
@@emclearance5694 No one has asked you to comment... youve just given an ill thought out opinion that is the opposite to all the facts laid out by Sid
Non nonsense bloke. That's what you want

Did you not listen . He addressed that it would have cost a whole lot more to flatten and start again. Going to cost millions as it is 🤔

What qualifications does he hold other than bs
Really ? What do you know are you an expert let's hear it then ?
In SID we trust 🙏
His early 'experience' Steel Fabrication was welding to make his dads side kick job selling fish tanks
There's always one.
