Hello Alan, Procedure to set bias is in manual 1st paragraph under transmitter tuning... Disconnect microphone, meter switch to IC, mode to SSB, mic gain to 0, Lever switch to Operate- ckeck bias current, should be 60ma. Adjust accordingly w/ bias pot on rear.. Good Luck w/the T-1's. I have recapped a few. Relatively easy. Don't foget C55 and C40.
@@97Boston Thanks. The issue with this one is that rotation of the bias pot does not change the meter reading. Five years ago I’d have it apart on the bench, now I am just a picker/flipper. I got tired of sitting in my basement hunched over a magnifier light, solder smoke in my eyes 😀 Sold my collection of 170 radios, spend my time outdoors driving around, talking to people, and helping liquidate estates. Packing and shipping heavy radios is good excersize. I don’t make a lot of money doing it, but I take radios out of closets, basements, and garages and into the hands of people who will love them. Thanks for the comment!
