We made this video because there were no reviews available online. We needed a speaker to extend audio out of the protective cage wrapping the IC-705. The speaker was and still is on sale on Amazon: amzn.to/45wLFAS Please like, comment, and subscribe👍 Take care and 73.
Thank you for watching and for the comment! There are two knobs on the sides of the speaker that allow for the speaker to detach from the base. I can do a tear down video this weekend so you can how it is attached to the PEOVI too. Take care, stay safe, and 73👍
That is fantastic! You are going to have a ton of fun building! I used a slightly smaller drill bit to remove a little paint from inside the mounting bracket holes on the sp-35 base. The PEOVI screws would have threaded through ok, but it was too snug in my opinion. If you want to do the same but don't have access to a drill, you could wrap a pencil or pen with sand paper and take the paint off of the inside of the bracket mount holes that way. Congratulations on your new rig setup and 73👍
@@ebcllc Yeah when I saw your setup with the speakers on top I was excited to see the cage with mounting holes. We can even put a mobile bracket on top for logging with our smartphone I think. Many possibilities to configure. I only bought the front part of the cage for now. I feel the Peovi cage is a much better buy although a bit more coin but the ability to configure it as such means better value. Plus it looks so good on the 705. 😁
I love the idea of attaching different brackets! I just uploaded a video with a little more details on how the speaker is mounted. It should be processed soon. Sorry for the delay. Take care, stay safe, and 73👍

how did you detach the speaker from the mount to attach on top of the peovi cage?
