Mountain bike Trail in Opotiki NZ showing some good aerial footage of the trail along with some "on the track" stuff. A special thanks to Karen and Mark Hanlen and to Jim Robinson for their time and expertise at tree climbing to regain possession of the DJI Phantom 3 Professional after it crashed ... three times ... all survived very well.

The Pakihi Track (an isolated scenic bush ride) is only a pleasant 2.38 hour drive (162 km) from Trinity Wharf Tauranga (www.trinitywharf.co.nz) along State Highway 2 - although with new roads opening this time will be shortened considerably. The track itself is 20km and is all downhill, with 25 bridges including a 25m swing-bridge. It requires moderate fitness and caution in certain areas due to steep drop offs. Toilet and shelter facilities are available at each end of the track.
