Unfortunately, those with pre existing conditions are more likely to suffer complications or die from covid. There are surprisingly side effects for some with covid. I work in healthcare and some of this individuals are having to go on disability and haven't recovered. I believe the financial effects from Covid will be more of a ripple effect. Are we going to deny healthcare coverage to these people because they will now have a pre existing conditions? Reminds me of 911 survivors who were denied healthcare and suffered complications later on.

Because I believe in maintaining strong relationships with our international allies, addressing issues that will affect us both long term and short term, like the deficit and climate change. I believe that bilateral trade deficits aren’t an issue and that free trade is good and makes our country richer and people better off. I believe that people should have access to health care and that extends to even those who can’t afford it, or can expect it to be more expensive because they are LGBT. I believe that nuclear power is the future and cleaner and safer than coal and other fossil fuels. I believe that people who want to go to college should be able to, and the same for trade school, because as a country we should invest in our own citizens. Having the best educated people is how america became the world’s only superpower and to maintain that that’s what we need. I believe that immigrants do more to grow our economy than they do to hurt it, especially high skilled immigrants that come in on H1B visas. I believe that gay people and trans people are valid and have the right to marry whomever they please, and serve in our military. I think drug addiction is a sickness and should be treated that way, and marijuana and nonviolent drug charges shouldn’t land someone in jail for the better part of a decade. I think mandatory minimums are an arrogant government policy and that judges should be given the option to make sentences the length they see fit, as long as it is reasonable. I think investing in infrastructure is good, both for our economy and our environment, public transportation is cleaner and high density populations make that more feasible. I think that increasing the supply of housing will cause the price to drop and therefore lead to helping eradicate homelessness. I think electoral reforms are important and as such getting big money out of the elections will help represent the people better than the big money interests that get bull horns with the modern system. I think building walls to fail to fix a problem is ridiculous, I believe in effective evidence based policy. I think increasing training for police officers is good, which also means increasing their funding, and increasing funding for community policing. I like DACA, I like women having a right to choose, despite the fact that I wish they never had to. I like having a president that respects the institutions our country relies on, and communicates a message that these institutions may not be perfect but need to be defended.
Joe Biden isn’t perfect, but he supports things I support and while there are other people I would have preferred to vote for, he is the one who got the votes and democracy works the way it works. I don’t just hate trump I also like biden. I can do both and I do.
