      @@user-ro1cs5hp5e forget being an architect or designer. Those people in universities are ass licking snobs. I have a friend who applied to a designer school and had to come with a portfolio of her to show the teachers. She drew the birth of Venus by Botticelli in a nearly 1 to 1 copy. Amazing talented person. Didnt get accepted, because her school grades were not perfect. She failed in Chemistry and French. 2 Subjects that have nothing to do with being an artist. It just shows how kafkaesque the school system has become. Actual talents are not important. Its just about "the numbers". You get sorted out by machines, but human beings with emotions.

    Thanks everyone for stopping by! Been a while since the last video but all is well and we are keeping healthy in our household. I'm happy to say this project is COMPLETE!! Just putting the final video together now so things won't take nearly as long as this last one. The city is the the big feature on this thing, and I think you're going really like the end result! ;) Thanks everyone for all your support!
    Also, be sure to head to tabletop world to check out their amazing buildings: bit.ly/Table-Top-World

      This. Is. Awesome. But don't fool yourself. You will never upload videos as fast as others in this game because of... the awesomeness of your builds. Am I right? :)
      Let's be serious. You can't keep up with the speed you secretly try to achieve (but always fail :) if you continue to build things like... this. Look at this. It's huge. It's unbelievable detailed. Like anything else on your channel. You can try to invent a completely different format of presentation or you can just continue to build things like that. From my point of view I can wait for the next video for as long as it takes if you continue to show us how to do things like this. For the basics (and something more I can't describe right now) we have Black Magic Craft. For the really realistic techniques we have you. Thank you very much for this channel, you're a real inspiration. Love from Germany.

    Sorry your life's been crazy, everyone has been going through this, but I'm glad you're ok... It's been a while since your last video, and I honestly thought about you and your family. I don't watch many dnd based channels, yours is one of my few picky choices... thanks for the update on the stable give-away and I've been so impressed and enjoyed your mega-diarama. These videos are cathartic for the viewers going through these rough times too. Glad you and your family is ok. Thanks for all you do!

      This is the type of stuff you see in museums and such. I have no clue but I'm guessing this is in the tens of thousands; I don't think you would get an answer from him, as that information could make him lose bargaining power if he wants to sell it at some point.

    • @RealTerrainHobbies
      @RealTerrainHobbies  4 года назад +8

      Heh, well if I were to sell it I’m not sure. The unpainted buildings themselves were several thousand usd plus supplies etc. So none of that counts for labor both on the board and the painting. So yeah, I don’t even know. I just want to keep it to have here and as a nice piece for the hobby studio. :)

    I would agree with you that this is a diorama only piece, other gamers would be careless and not mindful of how delicate most of the details truly are. I’ve watched people chuck dice like wrecking balls during most gaming events as battles get more intense....unless you can convince them to use a dice tower even then your paths would wear down quickly.
    The only issue I noticed were the logs next to cabin are huge like Hercules came up for the weekend to explore his lumberjack fantasy. He left because the women are built like horses and no internet service...

    • @RealTerrainHobbies
      @RealTerrainHobbies  4 года назад +1

      Yeah agreed. You’ll notice there is a smaller would stack that is meant for the firewood. This was meant to look like I unchopped felled trees that would later be cut down for firewood. They’re actually the scale of the sagebrush trees that fit 28mm. Imaging them hauled there by rope with a horse or an ox to be later chopped up.🙂

  • @throngcleaver

    Absolutely AMAZING work! The realism is palpable, and the imagery is stunning. However, there was one minor detail that made the hair on the back of my knees stand up, and made my forehead itch; the rope that's missing from that pulley at 19:49. Haha! Truly, you do fantastic work, and I love every second of these videos. Thanks for what you do!

    In the beginning . I would love to say welcome back again. I really missed your videos . My advise to you is don't be hasty . Relax, Take your time . Before starting construction the city , search in the internet .Take some ideas and pictures then save them on your computer so you will have a preconceived idea of what to build next .choose the right color to paint the street . Defining the engineering shape of the city building. What will the city square look like? How you will build the markets? Are you going to distribute them randomly? Or will you format them as a square? I wish you success

    So I discovered this channel some weeks ago, bingewatched, realised this is it, the miniature craft hobby I've always wanted to do. But is it weird to just do the terrain and settings, just for the heck of it? (no wargaming here, maybe some DnD).

    For the agricultural scenery, could you figure out vineyards or orchards? You're definitely doing an awesome job!
