Halo 2's OST is so friggin' orgasmic. Nothing in CoD made me replay a campaign level for any reason. I'd replay Halo2 levels repeatedly just to hear those amazing guitar solo's.
The first FPS game was either Maze War or Spasim, games made in the 1970's. Halo was released November 15, 2001 Call of Duty was released October 29, 2003
