Riding LAUNCHED Lightning Rod for the LAST TIME...

- As I'm sure most of you know, Lightning Rod is having its signature launched lift hill replaced with a high-speed chain lift. I made sure to head to my new home park a couple days before its closing to get a couple final rides before the launch received its tragic fate. I hope you all enjoy!

I have yet to meet another person who agrees with me about Dollywood. I just found it artificial. But I’m happy for you that you are now at a new cool home park with lots of neat things to explore.
Yeah I don’t see that at all. I think it’s a beautiful park with some awesome rides! But I guess it just depends on preferences and what you’re used to, I’m used to Magic Mountain Parking lot coasters 😂
The fart effects, sound effects, and zoom ins always get me 😂

Nooooo I went for spring break but it broke down right before I got to ride it and I was so excited and now they’re removing the launch? The launch was what made it unique😢
Yep, it’s pretty sad. Hopefully more people will be able to ride it now though

Thank you I’m glad you enjoyed! The removal of the launch shouldn’t change anything after the first drop so hopefully it won’t be a big deal, but yeah that first ascent won’y be as fun because you won’t be rushing up the hillside at over 30 MPH 😕
Aw i got to go for the first time recently and thought it was so unique during the launch, why are they getting rid of it 😭
It is very sad, but they are getting rid of it because it is broken most of the time so a lot of people get unlucky and can’t ride it. Since it’s the star attraction they want it open as much as possible. I’m bummed they couldn’t keep the launch, and it will certainly never be the same… I’m just hoping it actually becomes reliable, otherwise removing the launch would be pointless.

I’m good, working! And my dad is good aswell! Just planning out trips for the end of this year and next year 👀 and Dollywood was great as always!
