It seems like marketing will be a big thing when starting out? I feel like location will be the #1 and traffic in that area

Location is an important part, but regardless of where your office is, great marketing is even more important. While some people will book an appointment based on convenience of a location, signage, etc., to build long-term and loyal clientele, marketing is definitely a must. In fact effective marketing can overcome a not-so-ideal location; which is especially helpful if you can't afford the perfect office space starting out.

Seems like there is no strategy- you just tried and did whatever you knew hoping for results. It’s like going fishing with 10 fishing hooks tied to your fishing line with different baits on each just hoping to catch something.
