Today is Mother's Day and I honor your mother for mine is long gone. Your mother gave you a gift when you were born; unconditional love. Do not take it for granted, you both have a finite period of time together. You are not her only child or the only one she loves. She has given you life and not put up with your crap as you grew up. She raised a good decent man who treats people as well as he can. Perhaps one day you will get to be a parent or even a beloved Uncle and you will get to feel some of that immense level of parental love. Happy Mother's Day Lupe, you raised a good son.

I love the sentiment, but not my favorite! I'm not sure I liked the dance for this, and either way, I felt frustrated trying to see her dance moves with the pillars getting in the way of the shot a lot and the haze. I love the song though.
I connect the visible haze with the mental haze that comes while living with cognitive dissonance. I do agree about the pillars and even the pews being frustrating as I couldn't see her complete dance. However, as art is subjective, I can also see how the pillars connect to "what's it doing for ya? When it's in the way".
David, I wish you the best on this healing journey. It is long and hard at times, but the best moments of my life have also come on my own healing journey.

We all know that God loves everyone and especially those that love him and struggle trough their challenges to meet him. All members of our church have their challenges. Please forgive the person that told you such nonsense of that you would go to hell. Only those who willfully continue to follow Satan to the end will do so. He did not understand the gospel of Jesus Christ and why we came here to earth to be tested and how to prove oneself trying.
As I understand it, it is that we all have our weaknesses. All God asks is that we keep trying and never to give up.

Everyday I hear that song I cry it's just such an emotional song and she did a beautiful job with her dancing and her choreography. My mom died in 2015 she showed me the same unconditional love. There is nothing like a mother's love except the love of Jesus has for us.

Jesus christ has saved my life not just from sin but from suicidal thoughts i was lost but christ has made me new my life has never been the same since. I was depressed not wanting to live but by grace Christ has saved me and i pray you all turn to the one who loved you so much he died for you all. Friends can fail you family can fail you your children can fail you but who cant Jesus christ who loves you all. Please repent and be made new ❤️

Oh David archuleta really I just saw you posted a pic of you now wearing a earring your going to regret leaving the gospel my angel. It makes me sad what your doing to yourself I will keep praying for you. You have no idea how much I care about you and your life choices. Someday you see and feel the love I have for you and receive a special spiritual experience to come back to the gospel and seek eternal marriage. I believe you can overcome being gay you just think you can't overcome it . With I could be with you spend time with you just be there for you as your sister in the gospel even if you don't feel the same way about how I feel about you. Your my best friend from heaven.

It's beautiful music/song/video but I don't want to go to hell. I'd rather be in heaven to be honest.
Perhaps for him, his mom, and maybe other family members, "Heaven" is being accepted for who they love and support. Maybe for David, "Heaven" is being loved and supported for, and in spite of who he is. Maybe "Heaven" doesn't involve going through an intense faith crisis. Maybe "Heaven" is being able to live a full and happy life that includes being able to be with whom he is attracted to in the same way others are allowed to. Maybe "Heaven" is a different version than once thought and expected.
I think a lot of people either don't know or don't understand what inspired David to write such a beautiful and heartfelt song and choose to focus on the part about "go to hell together". His mom made a beautiful, difficult, and grand gesture to show the love and support she has for her son. I'm glad David is still with us after all he's gone through. I imagine it was difficult for his mom as well. I believe going through a faith crisis can be "Hell" in itself. I'm glad David gets to live in his truth. ❤
