This is a beautiful apartment, tastefully furnished and the ambience is great!
There's a general misconception about basements being cold and gloomy, and I quite disagree. From what I have seen so far, modern day basements are usually well lighted and with sufficient natural lighting too. And the heating is great... the tenant can regulate the heating right from inside the basement apartment. The choice of basement apartments is a great way to save rental costs especially for newcomers as they are usually slightly cheaper than a regular apartment.

I love this apartment. Glad you talked about this, I have stayed at a basement in Brooklyn NY in winter and it didn't feel colder, the heating system determines the temperature you get.

I like that the apartment you featured disclosed not suitable for infants 0-2 years. That's important to consider if you would be arriving with a baby or having a baby soon afterwards👍

I love this marina. Can one get a 3 bedroom basement in Saskatoon for a family of seven and if possible, can you do a tour of that? I would really appreciate!
That would be hard to find. I highly doubt if any landlord would be willing to rent a basement to a family of 7.
You will hardly find that option for your family size. A townhouse will be a better choice. I will bring that as soon as I can film one

Mainly for an unfurnished one but a furnished option could be somewhere in the upper part of the range.

This is a two bedroom and wont work with 5 children. You will most likely need a town house or a three bedroom apartment.

You will need a townhouse with about 4 bedrooms for that family size.

I have a question 👋. Why is the kitchen in the same space as the living room? I have noticed this with a lot of apartments in Canada. You know how in Naija , the kitchen is like a separate room and when you burn something sometimes in the kitchen it still finds its way to the living room. So I just can't imagine when the kitchen and living room are in the same space.

Good question! these plans are called open plans and they are very common in Canada. I cannot say it is my first choice but we have limited options, lol. Can imagine bleaching oil and cooking with Iru and you cannot even close kitchen door, lol

Apart from the school residences, university students can live anywhere. I cannot film the residences at this time because of restrictions

It’s not necessarily cheaper just cause it’s a basement. A lot of immigrants have this misconception. Some main floor apartments cost about the same if not even cheaper than some basements. So before you think about renting a basement, look around for a main floor apartment first.
