Awesome videos. Just started riding hard tail after watching your videos. I am now starting to realize it takes a lot of skill to be able to ride hard tails fast and effectively.
Thank you! I still have a lot to learn but with time and practice you'll get there. Hardtails are a lot of fun and from what others say, they sharpen your skills on a full suspension.
@@hardtail_reapers_mtb8014 yeah, I've noticed that you really have to pay attention with hard tails and having to use your legs as then only suspension gets tiring lol
@@BFBMTb LOL indeed it does but after a while you get use to it (in my opinion) . I ride with a couple of guys who all ride hardtails and so far we all enjoy them. I had to transition through different ones before finding the one that suits me the best.
So good to see you ripping the hardtail. Just went from a Roscoe to a Santa Cruz chameleon. Didn’t think there’d be that much difference but man it’s night and day. Gotta love a great hardtail
@@hardtail_reapers_mtb8014 for one the handling between the 2 hard tails is way different. I can corner and go thru obstacles now much easier and quicker than before. Although now the 2022 Roscoe has been completely redone and haven’t ridden it yet but I love the feel of the chameleon. Roscoe the rear end felt stiff like a hardtail the chameleon feels like it has some flex to it even though it’s a hardtail as well. I’ve ridden full sus and came back to hard tails because of the challenge and fun. Full sus makes up for all the mistakes you’d find out about if on a hardtail
@@stylusmtb1762 I know what you mean. I've went through a series of hardtails before I set in on the Mmmbop. I've been wanting to rent/demo an Fs just to see if I'm missing out on anything, but so far I'm pretty happy and been able to hit any trails with a hardtail.
@@hardtail_reapers_mtb8014 only thing your missing is a smoother ride and something to make up for your mistakes. I’ve gone full sus and sold and came back to the hardtail. All trails can be fun on a hardtail. Not all trails are fun on a full sus because it takes away the feeling of the trail
@@hardtail_reapers_mtb8014 Just once b/c I was riding with brand new riders and didn't want to keep them waiting. I felt like I was going to go OTB several times on the 1st rocky section but I just leaned back, eased off the brakes and trusted my bike to just roll over the rocks haha I was so shell-shocked by the end of it. ruclips.net/video/ncpfPiuG5Rk/видео.html
@@TheeJohnWayne This was your first time!? Man! You did a great job and looks like you hit at some speed!!! 👏👏 When I attempt something the first time I always give it a second time just to confirm that I nailed it down. Keep at it dude!!
Hey, I am looking at the Big Al or Mmmbop as my first real hardtail coming from a specialized pitch. I’ve watched hardtails party’s reviews and can’t decide between the two. Any thoughts?
I wouldn't be able to tell you bro. I really enjoyed both but preferred the Mmmbop because it's slacker, a 27.5, which to me is a lot more playful, and overall feels great sending it downhill. But that's just my opinion and preference. I guess it depends on what your riding style is.
toss a coin.... jk. Depends on if you are doing mostly downhills (mmmbob) or are you doing a mix of climbing and downhill (big al). It's not about what you want really its about what kind of trails you are gonna be riding the most remember, both are very capable you can't go wrong with either. i like the shining red on the big al but that is just my opinion.

Hardtail 4 Life! Great riding down chutes
Hell yeah bro!! Thank you!

Thanks, Hardtails are a lot of fun and so far I haven't had the need to go FS. What was the difference you noticed between the two?

Anyone can ride anything well on a full sus. Not everyone can ride well on a hardtail

Just tackled this earlier this morning! I got to say though, I was pretty scared going down those rocks in the beginning but I did it :)
That's awesome dude, congrats!! How many times did you do it?
