Same here, I have an ARB twin under the hood with a one gallon air tank underneath and quick disconnects on the front and rear bull bar. The compressor also runs my front ARB air locker, it’s a slick setup that has worked well. Cheers
i have the ARB under the hood as well but it runs my air lockers. With the usage and how often we go out, I'm afraid I'll burn out the ARB quick and could end a trip quickly without the lockers, and to replace would be double the cost of the EZflate case.
Install a plug outside hidden in the grill you won't have to open the hood. You could possibly run the plug into the cab for the cleaner air if you really wanted.
Interesting setup the Case one. Tip incase wasnt already mentioned but Always have car running when using Winches and air compressors (high draw equipment/devices unless you have some epic batteries that will maintain full voltage etc for the duration of use.) Keep videos coming Cheers 🍻
How about comparing the tire inflation from the start were one can just go on his jeep and hook up and the other one has to open his hood hook up to the battery and then start airing up

I’m new to the game of off roading and equipment.. How hot is the arb compared to the ez flate? If cost isn’t a concern and going after longevity/better duty cycles vs which will fill tires faster by a couple mins to me isn’t a concern more so which has the best warranty/customer service aswell plays a huge roll.. You mentioned the EZ flate got hot, would that not affect the longevity of the compressor motor? Thanks for the time comparing two different compressors.
Heat does play a role however, the ARB also gets hot. You just don’t have to handle the ARB if you mount it in your vehicle. Also, I’ll be doing a new video soon as there is a updated version of this compressor from morrflate that has better heat dissipation.
but the ez-flate never got all four tires to 37psi and arb did. Also, the arb turned on and off at least twice before you started airing up. This may indicate a leak. At the end many people are willing to pay extra for reliability, which is not mentioned in this video. If I were to choose which compressor to take on my family trip, then I would never consider other brand than arb or smittybilt. BTW, can ez-flate be re-built?
Your tires don't have equal weight on them so they'll fill at different rates. This probably has a bigger effect than line length which will also effect resistance
so we've had the ARB for over 2 years now under the hood, which isn't shown. Both works well, just afraid of burning out the ARB and having to pay double for what the EZflate system is.
this is also a great option. However, the new easy flight compressors have an auto air so you can sit the pressure and walk away. I’m not sure the Napaflate has that yet yet
Ez flate for the win because it's half the cost? But you ALSO have an ARB on board for lockers. Seems to me that using the ARB for both would be cheaper.
In this instance your correct since i already have the twin arb for my lockers it would be cheaper to not have the case. I happen to have a fear of burning up my arb at the wrong time and not having my front locker work lol as an alternative and more cost effective the case is perfect if you have not already went another route
@crawllander How would you tie in the EZ flate for your air lockers? I am looking for an air compressor for my Bronco and so far I keep coming back to the tried and true ARB because I don't want it mounted in the cab for heat and noise issues. Many times my wife will stay in the vehicle while I'm airing up or down. I don't want to do a case because of the heat and needing it to cook down before stowing it away. So it would need to hard mount under the hood or somewhere outside.
@@Crumb_Trails Let me think about this but in this situation ARB may be your best choice i’ll talk to the e@ezflate team today as well and see if they have run into this yet
Power tank is obviously the fastest, however, the cost of life time ownership of the tank would be more than any compressor. Also you have the chance to run out of CO2 while out if you dont fill up. etc. I also have CO2 for when and if I need it.
How hot does the EZ Flate compressor get? I have currently a Viar compressor and it gets very hot. It enough I can’t pack it away immediately. It needs 30 minutes to cool off or it will melt the bag

the ARB compress I've had for over 2 years, the EZflate is new for the past couple months. No problems with either, just the EZflate is faster and half the price, makes it nice to be quicker in the cold weather.
sometimes you have to be in a hurry like if it’s cold or raining or any number of reasons but you’re right if you don’t have something, then there’s no need
So I found this interesting I'm just starting to think about getting my truck set up for off-road and I have to say I prefer the idea of one board air however that could be a good option for a backup or even if it is your primary but my question is are your tires the same size like if they're not the exact same tire on the exact same rim there might be a volume difference there so I'm kind of curious whichever truck you wanted to do it on I'm kind of curious to see you do it again but run the test with both compressors on one vehicle whether it's the gladiator or the other one I don't care but just hooking up the compressors using the same lines and all on the same tires I'm curious if there would be any difference there she has some some wheels are different some tires are different you know there's always going to be some differences in the manufacturing process but I don't know for sure if they're even the same tires on your two vehicles very interesting though I like the idea of it being completely waterproof and dustproof actually kind of tempted to get one just to have in my truck for if I need it and I don't mean for off-roading I mean just in general like I'd rather pay the money for a good compressor like that to have for actually just keeping out in the barn or in the truck for a tire goes lower or something I still that's a variable to me is the you're to you're doing the test on two different sets of tires so there could be some differences there in volume which could affect the amount of time it takes to get the pressure up
So i understand and see what your saying that there would be differences in the manufacturing but, it's almost the same, in my opinion, we are both running the same tires in the same size, the rims are same size as well, just different styles. Same vehicle running almost identical setup, and just slight differences in brand mods. I believe the time difference that it took to inflate the tires wouldn't change much.
EZ flate also has this I just did not have it at the time however, I’ll be doing a new video as I currently run more plates new 10.6 with better heat dissipation
Arb is very old compressor its strong when its out till 2018 after that arb should had made something stronger but they did not do i dont know why . Alot of rechargable inflators are stronger then arb like milwake m18
that is correct, in the Mojave we have a front AB locker, im super worried ab out burning out the ARB then being without a locker in the front, would it be the end of the world probably not but I dont feel the need to put all the extra usage on the ARB
It’s not all about speed. Where is this compressor made? 5 years from now will spare parts be available? What is customer service like. As someone who owns 3 arb compressors I can tell you that these are not issues with ARB. I have had years of flawless performance from my compressors. The ARB twin is a constant duty compressor and I have never had heating issues
Many HAVE had problems with ARB. I believe the ARB say in some cases made in the US from Global components. Not much difference. There's other cheaper options though UDA EGOI Dual 6.1 CFM ARB clone $450 4YR Warranty ARB Twin Clone CKMTA12 $310 Amazon
I didn’t say ARB is the end all be all compressor. I have never heard of any being made anywhere but Australia, albeit from globally sourced materials. I own three and none have had the slightest issue with very hard use. The pistons use carbon fiber rings and they are apparently very durable. I didn’t picture carbon fiber being good in that case use but I am no engineer. I know there are other good compressors but if you are going to spend a decent amount of coin then I would find the answers to questions from my original comment. Rebuild kits are readily available for the whole line of ARB compressors and the company has been around for a long time. I own several of there products. I have a a bull bar, front air locker, and several of the smaller items they make and they have all done well
I beat all those cheap china compressors every time with my arb twin. I’m able to mount mine for onboard air so while they’re puli g theirs out and setting up and detangling that mess of a hose I’m 3/4s done haha
My wife has the twin ARB in her gladiator and when we compare i usually finish when she is on her last tire, the increased CFM on the EZ flate makes up the difference
We have a PT and, although it is super fast and easy to use, it ain't perfect by a long stretch. 1 - it costs $$$ to fill and, unless you are willing to let a place send it off somewhere to be filled, you can't just take it to any place you want to have it filled, same day/on-site. If you want same day fill, there is a $15 - $20 surcharge. 2 - Whenever you have it re-filled, they PURGE it first so, if you have only used half the tank and want to go on a trip with a full tank, you are throwing away a half tank's worth of CO2. In addition to that, they won't fill it 100% because they don't want to risk setting off the safety valve should the tank contents expand due to sitting in a hot vehicle. They only fill it to 9lbs but charge for 10lbs. 3 - The obvious... you still have to carry around a compressor in case you don't have enough CO2 to fill up all the tires. Don't get me wrong, love our PT but, we also live in the real world.
@@flutini1 I'm not sure where your out and agree that nothing is perfect, I have found ways to work around some of your complaints. Where i get mine filled there is no surcharge for filling on the spot. I also have multiple tanks 15 lb. They always fill mine full and I've weighed to verify. With multiple tanks I can work around most issues. You are correct as I do keep a compressor as back up but haven't had to use it. Thanks for pointing out to those unaware of the concerning potentials.
You cant compare a top quality air compressor like the arb that is built in Australia to some chinese made rubbish just because its faster than arb....arb is quality built, water and dust proof and you can run you air lockers aswell...you can also hard mount it under the bonnet or car permanently so no need to carry it around...not to mention you can get a air tank if you wish with arb...this comparison is nonsense.
Thank for your opinion, and you make some valid points.however not everyone wants to spend 600-1k on a compressor that can barely put out 1/2 the cfm. I have also seen more then one ARB break down and not be rebuildable so the person had to buy a new one so now into it 1500-2k, and that’s find if your made of money, then not to mention as you pointed out the ARB can be hard mounted under the bonnet, but now you have another several hundred dollars for the mount, and possibly several hundred dollars worth of labor to install it. you also mentioned you can add a tank to the ARB. This is also correct but again several hundred dollars for the tank and then several hundred dollars to install. It is absolutely quality product. However the Ezflate case and auto air systems are faster and a better value.
Research the EZ-Flate product. It is a family owned business in Utah where they developed this stuff in their garage. Most people say Chinese made is junk but forget that’s where most things are made. You just have to know what to buy.
You can mount these new styles... And run a tank for lockers too. Mine is under the hood. Also, I've been using it for two years no problem. Sorry you spent too much.
Listen to how quiet that arb is, though. That ez flate Chinese crap will probably bite it in a year. In the group I run with, we've blown up a morrflate two ssw versions and two smitty builts keep melting hoses off. One went arb and I went viair and we now air up like 8 people every time now
No one is questioning longevity we are only comparing speed at this point, Also the ARB is mounted in the van under a seat of course it’s going to be quieter on film when we are outside standing by the ez flate.

Interesting video ! Thanks guys 👍🏼
What’s the brand of reference of the hose that you use and the 4 in 1 connector?
the ones in the video used are from Thor Lightning, but since then I'm now running the set from EZflate.
Nice thanks for the info! ✌🏼
Do you use the Recoil or Hyperflex hose from EZ FLAT?
You like it better than the TOHR?
But, what's the hurry? I go out there to get away from a world where we are all in a hurry. get the compressor going and get yourself a cup of coffee.
sometimes you have to be in a hurry like if it’s cold or raining or any number of reasons but you’re right if you don’t have something, then there’s no need
Very Informative video. What size were the tires?
both vehicles are running 38's
My Arb will fill my 37 inch tires from 15psi to 35psi in 7:35. If you want to time mine I'll meet you where ever you want.
We can if you like, but the comparison would not be the same, I run larger tires and a higer pressure. Apples to Oranges would not compare correctly.
At what elevation do you fill them in 7:35? Elevation makes a difference.
From what pressure did you start to what pressure did you end?
believe we started both vehicles at 15psi and went up to 36psi
Is this EZ Flate system the same as the MOAB EZ Flate?
yes they are the same.
Absolutely love my compressor
Mine too!
Hyperflex or recoil system, what version you guys prefer?
I currently have both, but I prefer the Hyperflex. My wife prefers the recoil.
Can’t you remove the ez Flate from the case and mount it anywhere you want?
so they have a version without the case.
Onboard for me is worth it
and that’s okay as well, like i mentioned in the. video, I have an onboard ARB
MORRFlate is better inflates to a set pressure digit n turns off
EZ flate also has this I just did not have it at the time however, I’ll be doing a new video as I currently run more plates new 10.6 with better heat dissipation
What is the maximum air pressure of the EZ Flate compressor?
looks like from EZflate system will work up to 150PSI working pressure
I am sold! Thanks for this comparison.
No problem!
Arb is very old compressor its strong when its out till 2018 after that arb should had made something stronger but they did not do i dont know why . Alot of rechargable inflators are stronger then arb like milwake m18
yeah it’s like they stopped innovating
well, you need to compare apples to apples. compressor can be used not only for tires inflating…
Your right but in the instance we are comparing the speed at which different compressors can air up 38 inch tires on a jeep gladiator
Definitely looks like Colorado
it’s actually Utah
But the ARB is also runs your lockers
that is correct, in the Mojave we have a front AB locker, im super worried ab out burning out the ARB then being without a locker in the front, would it be the end of the world probably not but I dont feel the need to put all the extra usage on the ARB
Have you compared the morrflate 10.6?
we have not, but they basically are the same, made in the same factory.
The case is the new way to go and the heat is hard on us fat guys !!!
your not wrong lol
A 80cf nitrogen tank works faster and only cost $5 to refill.
all of my CO2 tanks cost 40 to 60 to refill. I also don’t have to worry about running out on a trail if I didn’t refill.
.......you could just mount the EZ flate.
they have a version you can mount if you wanted.
50% duty cycle vs 100%
But in 10 min neither one is an issue
@mrmotofy if it's mounted under the hood it could be.
correct
It could for sure be witch is where my ARB is mounted
It’s not all about speed. Where is this compressor made? 5 years from now will spare parts be available? What is customer service like. As someone who owns 3 arb compressors I can tell you that these are not issues with ARB. I have had years of flawless performance from my compressors. The ARB twin is a constant duty compressor and I have never had heating issues
Many HAVE had problems with ARB. I believe the ARB say in some cases made in the US from Global components. Not much difference. There's other cheaper options though UDA EGOI Dual 6.1 CFM ARB clone $450 4YR Warranty
ARB Twin Clone CKMTA12 $310 Amazon
I’m not carrying another case.
understandable, but they do have a system without the case.
Power tank for the win. 😂 I'm always done way before my buddies with compressor. Hard to beat 300 psi instant fills.
Don't get me wrong, love our PT but, we also live in the real world.
right, we have a PT as well, but to keep cost down we try not to use it unless really needed.
Nonsense! Twin ARB all day. Zero comparison
Mojave ❤️
York 210 > all
=)
They just did compare it and the ARB lost…

The design is NOT new and has been around for a few years with many having nearly identical units for 7, 8,10+ yrs
37 psi is also way way too much air
Running the milestars that have a crown we found better to run at a higher psi for longevity
@crawllander same with my STT Pro's. Chalk test good at 25psi but tires don't like it. 35psi and tires are happy.
