Through a flaming table while in his hometown and still less then half the crowd cheered for him. On the plus side, he's quickly becoming the greatest heel ever simply by refusing to turn heel.
But it's at the expense of heels like Andrade who can't get over because ppl would rather boo cody than the actual heel. He's ruining careers rather than building careers at this moment.

The fact that they actually managed to kinda gradually turn a good portion of the crowd back onto Cody's side was incredible even without the flaming table spot, which was sick by the way even if it wasn't needed. This match was great and the ending was badass especially with Cody not wasting any time in going for the pin despite still being on fire. Like him or not, he's a trooper for doing that
That was the dumbest decision of the night. Andrade didn't even go through the table. They should have called a audible. And I thought that fruit roll up on Statlander was bad.
But he botched the finish. Table was way too close, for a move like that. I don’t know why they couldn’t have done a safer move? Also, Brandi used too much lighter fluid.

Outside of kayfabe, Cody took that whole flaming table himself.
One, it looked like he was protecting Andrade.
Two, there also wasn’t enough room to execute that reverse suplex properly to give Andrade the majority of it.
Three, it was all for Cody’s ego.

Cody/Andrade match was pretty damn brutal, I especially loved the flaming table spot at the end. I was hoping Andrade would actually win this contest ngl, but I enjoyed the match.
