I highly recommend "Thunderheart" with Val Kilmer. It's a fantastic film. I am so happy it is finally available on blu ray.

I remember a couple years ago Walmart stores had the same Paramount movies in those 4k dvd sets. It's strange to release the same ones that didn't sell in the original run. Those dvds were always there and then they did the same thing with some Lionsgate titles and those had slipcovers.

I definitely plan on getting the Sembène set in July, so happy those films are released now. He’s a Senegalese filmmaker and is generally considered the father of African cinema. There’s a great documentary about him called “Sembène!” that you should watch to learn some more about him. He also directed Black Girl/La Noire and Mandabi, both of which already have Criterion blu’s and are must-buys
I got the dvd of Wolf House last year, mildly annoyed I’ll have the double-dip for the blu - which I definitely will for this. Stop-motion is my favorite medium

You need to watch all of King Hu’s films, he’s the master of wuxia films
Bushman from Milestone is also a must-buy, check out the trailer, it looks amazing

@@kenlauver2570 Great point! I have to have some DVDs if I want to play a movie for the kids on roadtrips. I wish portable blu-ray/4k players were included in newer cars.

I rather have 4K movie disc plus extras on bluray and audio soundtrack on cd or dvd. I don't need movies on dvd at all. It's a ancient tech. Standard dvd case is a waste of plastic. Standard 4K bluray case is the best.

I'm with you. I really wish we got more soundtracks included with releases. I only have a handful of examples in my collection

Yeah, I got the Hunt for Red October and The Untouchables from those Walmart sets - I just gave the dvds to a buddy. Which is what I almost always do with the dvds from blu/dvd combo packs, give them to friends or family
Not a fan of the dvd case though, I wish they were in a blu or 4k case. And yeah, I only paid $10 for each, so you can’t beat that price
