It's evidence of God's faithfulness and evidence that settling with ANYone won't do. You both chose the right one, in one another. True purpose partnership. And that's Dope! Thanks yall!

I'm excited for someone to be willing to stick it out with me. In the depths of the valleys and peaks of the mountaintops. That's what I've gleaned from you two over the years.
I'm married and when I watch ya'll I have a sigh of relief and say "them too" with a smile on my face. LOL The podcast is relatable and helpful and I feel like I'm talking with friends in the same season of life as my husband and I. Love it.
I’m single and the realness is what i think is fun! And what i desire in marriage lol. I don’t idolize it but i get excited to have some of the convos y’all are having with a hubby. Plus the fact that y’all laugh through it all! Even the bad, I def want that.
ALSOOOO here’s an idea… You guys talk about switching lives so much.. Maybe a HMAY role swap vlog?? Yvette does the ceo work and glen stays home in the fullness of what y’all experience and no help from the other side lol

I am engaged and I definitely look at what you guys have as something I would like in my union. Specifically the radical honesty, integrity, protection over each other, friendship and the longevity of your marriage. And y’all still laugh, flirt, play! Shooooo ! I don't watch and think i want to be yall. I watch and love how real you both are. I love the relationship between the two of you. Yvette is more reserved about things and Glen is relatable. He's not embarrassed to keep it real.

I have too idolized your marriage at times because of the great communication and dialog that you two can have - I have not experienced this level of authentic, honest dialog in a relationship and it is something that I definitely desire and have found myself soaking it all in by binge watching episodes at times.
Ya'll are the ONLY couple I follow on SM because you feel so relatable and as a newlywed you both provide relationships guidance that I don't get in real life! You are a beautiful couple & I thank you for sharing your wisdom 🤎

I'm that taking notes person - but more so in my head than in real life, I really need to get it together. Single and found this podcast during the pandemic. I just cackled @ 21:41. As a single woman, I definitely watch y’all and say, I want that! I had to take a break too bc my desire to be in a healthy marriage is so strong that I let it overtake the other things that God was calling me to work on. The REAL is good. The fact that y’all can sit in each others company and just chop it up is bomb 👏🏾. I don’t need the fluff, I can tell that y’all are happy and in love.
I’m one of the single viewers that views yalls podcast definitely in preparation. I am a mom of a toddler boy so definitely take advice from the parenting perspective but I don’t look at you alls marriage and be like “ooooh I want yalls exact marriage” because I don’t know exactly what it took to get y’all where you are. I definitely look at y’all’s union and am grateful to see that this type of love exist. The transparency in love that y’all share, inspires me to hold on till I’m released to my purpose partner. I’m from Baltimore,I’m a brown woman of faith, I’m not perfect, I’m a creative in a sense …and it’s been through yalls podcast that I believe even the more that real love does exist. So thank y’all🤗

Some times I watch and sometimes I listen but you guys do showcase a beautiful friendship and love that is very desirable. Love the podcast! Keep doing what you’re doing. God bless.

I do watch y’all, (single; in my early 20s) and you both are definitely relationship goals.
I look at y’all and love how you guys are growing together. And the love you guys clearly have for each. Even before you guys went on your break arguments and all😅… in Yvette’s words,you guys really do have a good thing going. With the glimpses you show us. It speaks volumes to how you are both growing together.
Favorite podcasts are when you both make each other laugh and laugh like you did here. Great stuff every time it happens!
I wouldn't say I idolize it, but I do look at how you organically make each other laugh out loud and wish I had that dynamic with my husband. Don't know if you both understand how rare it is and how blessed you both are ...hope you never lose that part of your relationship & thx for making me laugh too!

But my friend said they had to stop watching bc their relationship doesn’t mimic yours as far as how you were joined together but I did tell them I think it’s a lie from hell bc everyone relationship doesn’t start out magical

I think the podcast provides some perspective into your thoughts which is helpful as I navigate life and I can process my own thoughts on situations. I desire a family and partner that I can love and grow with and I know God will provide it in good time. Your channel is inspiring and encourages faith in the wait. I don’t idolize or want to imitate your marriage because my relationship has actually been getting better and better since we took a brief break and understood what we needed from each other. I do appreciate you guy’s relationship on the podcast though because it’s unfiltered and unrefined. I’m actually engaged, by the way as of our last anniversary November 28th. Plan on getting married next year

I watch these and I’m like this is good info for later on down the line😭but I don’t want to put in all that work and effort right now. Working through someone else’s emotions/ life at 24 I’m not feelin that especially since I just got out of a long term relationship I’m enjoying my space and independence I’m never really been single.. I’ve always been boy crazy. So it’s nice to be content with Jesus alone. I wanna stay in this space for a bit..
I wouldn’t say I want what y’all have, but as someone who’s divorced, I do want some aspects. Moreso that you both work to hold the marriage together and I’ve never seen talk leave each other hanging

I am all here for that venue. Rant
Can we normalize that at some point being single for some years isn’t the it other people think it should be. You can do all the things and still be single not wanting to be. Then all of a sudden you are 40 or 50 and it never happens. You’re constantly working on yourself. You are building yourself. You come to a point of where you are no longer open. Where all you see now is what I want and where I’m going. The older I get the more certain things are off the table. I’m more and more set in my ways. I no longer have the energy or yearning for kids. I’m going through per-menopause. I don’t have such an eager drive to date or get to know new people.
I think we have to be honest and say that not everyone will find a partner. The dream and the want of marriage doesn’t come for everybody.
I’m single and I have both reactions “That’s real” and “I want that” I don’t want to see only the good I like the whole picture.

Nah, I wouldn't necessarily want to be like you on the parenting front - you too lax with disciplining the boys, but I watch this podcast because you talk a lot of sense and reality on the relationship front, especially Glen. Sorry for the mixed bag of reviews but I think you want honesty in our responses.

It is interesting that now walking away from or avoiding relationships is considered "good" or "wise" but pursuing a job or platform or career over relationships is considered "good" and "walking in purpose". Im seriously unsure how this has crept into Christian thinking. Where in the bible does it say this? Desiring marriage is super natural and biblically ordained, and for our community to be avoiding it as much as we do is becoming odd.
I feel honestly we idolize and make bigggggggg altars over singleness.
Black women love singleness. We are taught to pursue career and independence instead of marriage and marriage preparation. "God is my husband", "Paul said singleness is better", endless podcasts on why we are pursuing singleness. Its rooted in fear but this is the real idol. Not marriage.

A lot of people have dogs and their dogs lives are “at the owners convenience”
That’s why people say it’s just like a kid, of course a dog is easier bc they don’t inherently talk back like kids do so you may have more patience , less patience and you feel like you have more control and probably exercise that
I can see why the woman that wrote the letter might have to take a break not because you guys live a fairy tale life but because she wants to do life with someone and though you guys are detailed about the ups and downs of Marriage it’s where most singles prefer to be. Doing life honoring God and walking it out day by day.
I can relate to the part where she had to let go of a past relationship because of following a tug that God has placed on her heart and this message is so timely. I too was idolizing marriage wanting it more that that relationship came before being obedient to God and the things I knew where not good for me.
I’m on the other side of it now and healing ❤️🩹
If I can encourage the woman that wrote the letter and tell her what I tell myself, As long as you are putting God first in all areas of your life you are exactly where you need to be even if it’s not how you pictured it.
