Started new job on a new shift in a new part of town last week. This video reminded me to get out the door for my first run since last week, before week two of the new schedule. Thanks kofuzi. 👨🏽🦳
Should compare the RC with metaracer. The Asics look adequate for marathon in my opinion. It's still taller than the Adios, but not as high as Nike's high heels. Looking forward to the Asics Metaracer and the Adizero Pro to be released for a head 2 head.
same here i am very excited for both of those carbon plate shoes. Nikes have definitely over built their shoes no one really needs 39mm under foot. People are getting carried away with this idea they need more cushioned to run faster. The Metaracer is forsure capable for a marathon as is the speed elite and the Adizero pro.
Great review, appreciate your comments on how you'd use these two. I'll definitely consider them both, and thinking the Metaracer might also be really good for track workouts.
I've run a marathon in Adidas Bostons with no issues, the Metaracer doesn't seem much less padded than that, though maybe the carbon plate makes a harder ride. Its so damn pretty I'm really tempted to cop
Maybe it’s the boost, but the Boston feels more forgiving in the forefoot. The metaracer relies a bit more on fluidity of footstrike for impact avoidance (or at least that is what I believe the idea is with the “guidesole technology”). But if things get a bit sloppy, as they can at the end of a marathon, I’d be worried about the metaracer. But I also don’t have the toughest feet. I think some people will have great fun in the metaracer for the 26.2 distance
Hello Sir. I love your shoe reviews!! I'm a big fan of your channel and have checked out loads of your stuff. What brand would you say in your most favorite and do you plan on reviewing the Nike Miler.
I would definitely agree with the first part of your comment. But I can’t say that I had no problems with the carbon rocket for a marathon. My feet were pretty angry
Their two last comparison videos are outstanding! Looking up them, I guess Boston woud be the best choice for a marathon. It seems to have more stability than TC and more cushioning than Rebel e metaracer even being the cheapest amomg all of them. Am I wrong?
i think there are a lot of great options depending on what a person is looking for. i would probably pick the TC over the B9, but I have a tendency to underestimate the Boston, so I would probably bring both with me on race weekend and make a last minute decision.
Can't wait to get my hands on the Metaracer. The FuelCell TC does not work for me (greatly exacerbates over pronation) and I love what ASICS is doing with the guidesole tech.
is there a comparable feeling between the adios and the metaracer? just feel like theyre the less foam, more ground feel type of racers even tho they have their differences
I need some help, please. I'm by no means a serious runner, and I was wondering if you can tell me what shoes you think I should get for long walks and jogging / light running. I don't mind the brand.
Thankyou. Normally I would just take a trip to a specialist running shop and try them on a treadmill but these are not normal times. Enjoy the channel. I'm about 3 months in to my return to running after years off - so a beginner again
Watching those new balance shoes squish is oddly satisfying. Shoe tech over the next 10 years is going to be very, very interesting. Shout out to carbon nanotubes making shoes better. Wonder how long it'll take until they start using carbon throughout every shoe...
i'm afraid i don't know enough to really diagnose that problem given that description. assuming the hip pain isn't stopping you from easy running, i would consider running easy for a few days if not a week and/or switching shoes (you didn't mention what you've been running in or how old they are). if that doesn't resolve it, i'd seek professional advice.
kofuzi I've only started running after a while (decade) but only started getting into equipment (thanks and congratulation great content btw) and my impression is that almost everything is more cushioned and that "giant tall" shoes like hoka or nike (some of them) are more "max" and cushioned than they've ever been. Just curious why you say that? have they been more max in the recent past?
These two are for racing or fast long runs. The Pegasus is something I’d put more in the daily training category. It would be the most versatile of the 3. But the least capable for racing. That being said, I have raced a marathon in a Pegasus before and it was pretty ok
You know how when you shoot a basketball you say kobe? When I step on a puddle I say kofuzi. 😂
Hahahaha!
The MetaRacer definitely interests me, but I agree, I’d want some more cushion for a full marathon! Great comparison!
Best running channel by far. Thanks for all the great reviews!

Congratulations on the new job!

That orange on the metaracer is awesome 🔥
It’s a striking color.
The new royal blue is also lit.
Great comparison

I think it would fit right in on a track day
I lean towards the ASICS for sure!
Awesome choice comparison. I'd like both shoes I'm sure for different purposes!
Planning to get either one, thx for putting up this video👍🏼
I hope it was helpful!

👍 thank you thank you for you making this channel.....you inspire me 😁
Thanks so much!
Yeah, he is very inspirational and I am thinking about doing the same.
Think I may have to review the Asics Metaracer, I'm a fan of the design 😂
I definitely feel the same about tight corners with the TC (or even uneven sidewalk)
Thanks for the video bro. Love your work. Question...when you give the weight info, what size shoe are talking about?
Once I get back into races I’ll pick up the ASICS as I prefer 5K-HalfMarathons. It just looks so fire.
I’m very impressed by it
Hi kofuzi, how do you film your feet in the run? Those shots are so smooth!
Hello Sir. I love your shoe reviews!! I'm a big fan of your channel and have checked out loads of your stuff. What brand would you say in your most favorite and do you plan on reviewing the Nike Miler.
Metaracer vs sl20? Do you think they’re comparable? Thanks Kofuzi for the great content as always 👍🏻🏃🏼♂️
I think the Metaracer has more to it in terms of cushioning than the Carbon rocket, which you ran a marathon with no problem in it.
I would definitely agree with the first part of your comment. But I can’t say that I had no problems with the carbon rocket for a marathon. My feet were pretty angry

Would be great if you could do a comparison of the metaracer and the endorphine pro!
The ball is in saucony’s court
Can't wait to get my hands on the Metaracer. The FuelCell TC does not work for me (greatly exacerbates over pronation) and I love what ASICS is doing with the guidesole tech.
I did not think I would like it for faster days, but it works
I saw you pronating on that corner, mate... NB really seems a bit unstable.
is there a comparable feeling between the adios and the metaracer? just feel like theyre the less foam, more ground feel type of racers even tho they have their differences
how would the fuel cell tc fare for the wide footed fellow? do they fit similar to the narrow metaracer?
I’d like to hear what you’d like ASICS to do with the Metaracer 2 if they were to come out with one
Make it in Kill Bill yellow
TC - race shoe for heavy runners? this is the first race shoe you have tried that might be mushy enough for me. Thanks
Thoughts on the RC vs FC rebel? Worth upgrading for training intervals?
Really intriguing!
Thanks Dan!
Can metarace be training shoes @kofuzi ?
I’ve heard that the novablast is similar in feel to the TC. Would you agree? Thanks again
I would not agree

Dickies
Have you run in Saucony Kinvara? I have used them for years (4mm drop) and am curious how they compare to other models

Do you know when the Metaracer is dropping and the price of it?
I heard June for $200
On there website it is saying June 26th release for $200
Hi, do u down half a size for the metaracer?
This video and the last one where you compared the Boston 9 to the Rebel have made me want to try all 4 of these shoes lool
They’re all in my rotation right now. All very fun to play with
Watching those new balance shoes squish is oddly satisfying. Shoe tech over the next 10 years is going to be very, very interesting. Shout out to carbon nanotubes making shoes better. Wonder how long it'll take until they start using carbon throughout every shoe...
I the FuelCell TC similar to the Zoom Fly 3?
Yes
kofuzi can you give a hint which one would you prefer between TC & Zoom Fly 3? 😬. Will it be an upgrade going from zoom fly 3 to TC?
When I do long run or faster run,my hip starts to ache, please help me!!!(I’m midfoot runner)
i'm afraid i don't know enough to really diagnose that problem given that description. assuming the hip pain isn't stopping you from easy running, i would consider running easy for a few days if not a week and/or switching shoes (you didn't mention what you've been running in or how old they are). if that doesn't resolve it, i'd seek professional advice.
Curious watching you in these shoes on concrete: are you ever tempted to stick to max cushion shoes?
It may be a moot question. Even max cushion shoes aren’t max cushion shoes these days
kofuzi I've only started running after a while (decade) but only started getting into equipment (thanks and congratulation great content btw) and my impression is that almost everything is more cushioned and that "giant tall" shoes like hoka or nike (some of them) are more "max" and cushioned than they've ever been. Just curious why you say that? have they been more max in the recent past?
Ignacio Nava Yes new improved materials/ foam like ZoomX that are light and very supportive/ springy. They definitely help you ‘max’ out your speed.
How much mileage do you think you will bet out of the MetaRace?
TBD. It’s an asics, but it’s also a racer. So who knows?
I think I'll pick up the metaracer
I’m having a lot of fun with it
Fuelcell TC ... 8 mm or 9-10 mm ...? Runningwarehouse says it's 9-10. Also read otherwhere it's 10 mm. Can you clarify what is right, thanks ;-)
Review HOKA One One Clifton 7
Since they’re not out yet, I can’t unless someone sends it to me.
Shouldnt the adidas shoe already came out?
Hard to hold anyone to a release calendar when the releases were going to be tightly connected with race dates
The TC looks like a basketball shoe to me for some weird reason at certain angles. lol
Don’t fake the funk on a nasty dunk
Who enjoys jumping in puddles more, you or the girls?
stay safe healthy and strong!
Me.
The Metaracer look so good though ! The TC are just meh
Your cool can't be hidden even with the mask!! (^ω^)
Thanks!
These 2 vs Pegasus 37?
These two are for racing or fast long runs. The Pegasus is something I’d put more in the daily training category. It would be the most versatile of the 3. But the least capable for racing. That being said, I have raced a marathon in a Pegasus before and it was pretty ok
