I do self study. I personally don't know any senior to advice me in detail like this. I'm so happy to find you sir clearing all the doubts I had about GS 3 paper. I struggle to read Ramesh Singh sir book on economics so I eventually fear to study economics. So I just read basics from TN board 12th economics book. But with this book I couldn't cover all the topics in the syllabus. Thanks for suggesting me an alternative.
I am also doing self study please share ur ideas and I will share mine where u have reached so that there could be some competition and both can grow because I always find me alone in my preparation no one around preparing for this exam, they only discourage and laugh

Check for their test schedule and the pattern in which they conduct. Make sure they have NCERT and subject based test series. Simultaneously, attend free tests from freeupscmaterials website or xaam.in once you cover some of the topics from any subject. Let's say you have covered topics from making of the constitution till basic structure of the constitution in Lakshmikant, attend a test from these websites to know how much you have retained the topics you read. *Revision and practice are so important than even completing the syllabus*

Some institute give atleast a week gap for the next test. Make sure you complete that test 1 syllabus within a week. If you can, then join the test series. If you can't, then complete the basics and enroll for the test series.
