I was put off by Slink at first, but I came around to him once it became clear he was talking about real, proper lasting relationships. The kind that gets all the way down into your bones. Best advice: Block the person in EVERYTHING. Cut communication. You have to grieve and learn to live without that person and reunite with things that makes you happy. People get caught up in cycles of people and sadness because they keep contacting or allowing contact, seeing pictures and watching on social media. Then confused why they can’t “let them go”.

I'd recommend therapy with a licensed professional or ATVL someone training to become one, but therapy can take on many forms. Find what works for you so you can grow as a person. There's nothing worse than being stagnant.

24:15 I feel it’s very intelligent for a couple to jointly decide to go to therapy that early because what people fail to realize and they like to act like they know this fact, but they don’t ever act on it. What they feel to realize is if you don’t love yourself or know yourself, you can’t be in a successful relationship and it’s hard to know oneself and love one’s self when we have a society built to break down and do the complete opposite of that we are taught to get in relationships very early. Find the person you want to love very early and everything is just supposed to be happily ever after after that but that’s never true. People also think they’re going to find people and date these people and find that perfect person like anything and everything that they do is perfect but that’s not true either because there’s going to be at least one thing that bothers you about another person, that’s just the human beings in us all. The point I was trying to get to is most people will have something about them or something they do that you necessarily don’t like and a majority of people don’t have time to do any self reflection, or any self-help prior to getting in relationships due to lust or loneliness, or just the want of a relationship. So it’s rare you find someone whose done all the work. Or if your willing to deal with people who needs work you rarely find one who is continuously aware of things they have to work on and understands that they are not at their fullest potential. Then those type of people get into relationships and they don’t do the work and wonder why their relationships don’t last. So I disagree that going to therapy early in a relationship makes them a doomed couple because for one it shows that they want to stay together and they’re willing to do the work into it shows that people are not perfect and sometimes it takes a safe space and understanding space to get to know one another at their truest form, and in those spaces the most revealing points about somebody can be explained and understood. Now it is crazy if neither of them has ever sought out therapy prior to this relationship like if neither of them ever did any personal therapy then I do believe that kind of is weird and makes them kinda doomed because then it feels like they’re treating therapy more as a fad than the actual resource, but if either of them has ever experienced therapy in their lives, they understand that it’s an actual resourceful tool, and can be applied to many different parts of your life, especially relationships, because guess what either one of them could go to therapy alone and talk about their partner and only get a one sided view on things but if they’re able to come together in one room and discuss issues that bothers them and they’re both able to feel heard and understood then they can overcome issues and keep their relationship. Because therapy isn’t meant to be forever so you learn these tools and apply them to everyday life or situations and learn from therapy so you can get to know and learn one another
