I am Team IAM, he would sing and harmonize with his dad all the time, no wonder they sounded so great together. Iam was doing the high harmony, very difficult especially when you factor in the sudden guitar switch and emotions. The other guy did a great job, and was very supportive. They should Both advance IMHO.. Glad you guys reacted to this. I am following his journey through YT, since I am in New Zealand and don't get this.. I wish I could see one of his videos that doesn't make my eyes leak though.. 😢
I loved this duet. You should check out Oliver's audition too as well as his first performance. He's really good. The way he supported Iam through this was beautiful and they sound amazing together. Iam's voice, though, it's just speaking directly to my soul every time he sings.
That was just BEAUTIFUL!!!! How come EVERY great song/performance SEEMS too short??? These guys should record the full length version,,, it would be great!!!
For the duets, they get to choose their partner. In the past, they had to work on a team, but that led to a lot of conflicts and wasn't really helpful in determining who should go and who should stay because they had to agree on a song, work on the parts and choreography, and try to make sure each person could shine yet all work well together. In just one night! The partners are the same, but less stressful. Still it's hard to memorize the lyrics in one night if you didn't really know the song to begin with. Iam is used to harmonizing because he often sang with his Dad. He says he hears and feels his Dad beside him harmonizing as they used to. The duets are not in competition with each other. The judges don't give any comments and just decide whether each contestant goes home or moves on. Oliver Steele and Iam Tongi are both popular favorites.
I thought they were amazing pairing with one another.. And another tear jerker for sure. They should tour together.. It's like a new age Simon and Garfunkel... My favorite two on the show!😁
Iamtongi has a pure beautiful soul and heart and his tears tell a thousand stories and his heart is still in pain and heartache from losing his dad. ❤ great video
I don't know who is better, but oliver has a great voice and can give a bit of raspiness with it. Iam is young and has a IZ voice. They are a great as a duet.
It’s so sad that there is a channel impersonating Iam. I’ve been commenting on as many posts as I can letting his subscribers know that. He posted on Facebook about this imposter. I loved this duet. Watching it over and over on Hulu. There’s no extra stuff needed in this song, just Oliver and Iam.

There's a video on his channel where he talks about this. The imposter channel is making money of stealing Iam's videos from various social media accounts. Many of us have reported it repeatedly. It changed names for awhile, but then changed it back to IAM TONGI.
