The dmr is a great weapon, you just need to shoot very fast, it’s when you space the shots that it doesn’t work, when the target is in movement you need to predict where the bullet is gonna hit.
So pretty much "projectile weapons are actually good, you just gotta lead your shots". I've used the dmrs for a while, so I am on your side, but the problem with the dmr is not design-wise, it's balance-wise compared to other ARs!
Why though would you use something that’s technically not bad but takes a whole extra level of precision over any of the other scoped hit-scan ars? Just like means more work for the same results and seems also limiting in regards to accuracy at range, and at that point like 150m+ either a sniper or the twin mag ar are gonna be better (easier to use, more reliable) 100% of the time
@@FriskyPotat0 First off, that dmr as well as all the dmrs are garbage. As much as I loved using the original dmr, there were always more powerful options, and dmr players now either are suuuuper casual or aren't ready to face the truth. Sure "technically" they are good, but that's really hard to say in the state of balance this games been in, but you still are right.
And 2nd off, dmrs are popular because of being accessible to controller players, unlike every other AR with terrible recoil.
see i get what you're saying, but why would i ever use the dmr when i could use the twin mag. id rather pick up a green twin mag over a legendary dmr any day of the week.

Wow, I love dealing around the same damage as a Twin Mag per bullet, except with the downside of my bullets being as slow as a nerf dart.
if you have god aim in some cases the dmr is good but if not i dont even look at the gun

I absolutely love the thermal DMR but hate it’s recoil so scoped salvo and steady hands help a lot
the damage or fire rate isnt the issue on the DMRs (unless ur the Standard DMR), it’s the bullet speed being so slow, if you cant hit good shots from a range they’re suppose to be at least decent at then they wont be good in general
DMRs though have seem to do good with standard rifle damage, the accuracy of a Red-Eye/Scoped Rifle but with the power of an ordinary rifle
the Cobra takes after the Infantry Rifles and the Thermal takes after.. nothing really? just like a slower scar but stronger i guess
imo if they just tried to speed up the trajectory for DMRs (and Auto Sniper cuz that’s practically a DMR too) then it might actually do something for the game

Idk why but some guns are easier to control on controller, same w recoil. Gunnars smg and any dmr is acc amazing on controller. Solid damage output and aim assist goes crazy

What’s crazy is I actually like the DMR this season. It’s still annoying that it doesn’t seem to hit as often as it should, but it’s still a solid utility 3rd weapon
It’s a mid to long ranged weapon so if you use it like an Excalibur
It hits hard if you don't miss harder
We can all agree that the new heist skins are insane
that gun needs to stay a secret
They should make an augment that makes DMR hit-scan weapons (like an AR) but also decreases their damage/fire rate, so that it can make the DMR a legit weapon to carry.

For me the twin mag AR has given me the most trouble so far this season, I play on Xbox with controller and every time I use that gun after like 2 bullets the recoil is just slinging it all around my screen in a completely uncontrollable way.
The mk AR was the complete opposite, I could straight up aimbot people with it even from over a 150 meters away. It’s crazy because it seems like the same type of weapon except just twin mag but naw.

@@psykovor9402 lol, it’s probably just because it’s a new weapon anyway. I was the same with the mk at first as well.
@@roberthill6738ive had the same problem but my solution was not to hold down the trigger to use it as an automatic, i tend to use it in single shots instead kind of like a dmr but faster, since it does enough damage to use a little bit slower

I was watching this on stream! I used the Thermal for myself and it did pretty well but mainly since I was on controller. I think you may have read my comment on it and wanted to say sorry if it was low key trash 😂Have a good one man ❤
It’s honestly seriously underrated, much like the Havoc Suppressed AR. I really don’t understand the hate for them!
@SaulTeeNutz the havoc suppressed hits hard its just when you fire for too long the bloom gets annoying

@@SaulTeeNutz totally agree with both of you guys, especially this season since they buffed the mythic Havoc AR to have less bloom and it hits like a TRUCK. Same goes for the Thermal even though you need 2 augments to make it worth it.
@@defnotOBI’ve honestly loved it since it first came out. But it’s just been outclassed by all these red dot sight weapons that’ve come out, and it goes without saying that The Foundation’s MK-7 is the best weapon in the game.
So now that we have a definitive conclusion that the dmr should be thrown in the trash, can fortnite do exactly that and bring back either the version of the scoped AR preferably the thermal version.
The DMR goes crazy on controller, I clutched a 1v4 with it.

I love the DMR
I tried using it in a match once not expecting much and I was absolutely shredding people. As long as you're able to predict where the enemy is going, there's a 90% chance you're killing them on the spot. That's why it's basically an insta kill if you manage to catch someone off guard.
i once shot 2 mags of the thermal dmr to a player standing still in open and it didnt hit a thing
toggling the thermal vision off seems to make me more accurate with this gun, i feel like its as if i cant really predict my target's movement very well while its on, thats just my opinion

Fun fact the mythic thermals ads scope is off centred, if you ues a custom crosshair it is of centred. (Fun fact of the day ❤)

I have never understood why RUclipsrs give all the DMRs such hate. It's always one of the best guns for me from the beginning.

@@0sm0 yeah basically. RUclipsrs like to make clips of themselves doing flashy and fast kills and a pop shot gun doesn't make a good clip. I think there's a general engorged emphasis on declaring what guns fortnite players like and don't like is all.
