- A complete solution to the "House of Dragon" puzzlebox from Escape Welt (escapewelt.com) .
This walkthrough is based on the Kickstarter edition (www.kickstarte..., which contains a few errors. I'm hoping these get fixed before the puzzle goes on general release.

I just got this box for Christmas, pleased to see the errors have indeed been fixed.
I got it for Christmas to but most of the errors were not fixed
My errors are still there, but I got mine over half a year ago.
I juste receive the box last week , no error on it it has beed corrected
I got the plexiglas version and the errors have been fixed.
When I got to step 2, I could NOT figure out shimmying that lower piece out until I saw you do it. And the coding - I don't think I would have known both how to decipher it or then what to do with it - those steps got me through.I got this as a gift - I love puzzles, but this was a ball buster!. This video was so very helpful. Thanks!
The spining roof helped Ne get the first sliding disk under the roof to rotate 🎉
I also funded this puzzle. Great concept, but I could not get past the manufacturing issues. Thank you for making this video and pointing out the mistakes, otherwise I would still be here staring at the puzzle without a clue of what to do next. Also, I am also dumbfounded that the awesome dragon on the top is there for decoration only 🤔

thank you for the video, on mine the writing has been corrected, also rotating the roof pushes out the semi circular part above the door just enough to get your fingers on and there are tips and the solution on the website which is the same by the way, no extra compartments
The spinning lid did seem to block the sword key. If you convert the japanese text to english, you'd see how to set the spinning top top "Head to Tail" to allow the sword to enter.
I had everything right except I pulled out the keys instead of trying to leave those one pushed in and pull out the others. Im not sure i would have thought to try that.

The spinning roof helped slide out the tab above the door.
I find this puzzle nice but perfectible. It took me around 3 hours in total (on 5 tries) with no help/no hints .
The longest part for me was after getting the 2nd wheel/key outside
The part i didn't solve is the code but by observation and deduction i find a difference between the 7 wheel / key in each holes.when i move them and look close i could see if the wood is closed or open in the hole . Then i try the combinaison by taking out the 3 closed Wood and i could remove the panel on the right (they should try to cover it
When you spin the top clockwise it reveals the disk with the word Hachi.
That doesn't seem to be the case on mine - the Hachi disk spins independently of the top
On my versions, the New one it Turning the Roof help to get the half disk but its just a little push . On your vidéo At the end I see the half disk move a little when you Ask if WE know what is it for
My puzzle is actually slightly different from yours. i'm maybe 1/3 of the way solved, but I cannot spin the cog wheel there is a piece of wood blocking the spinner and it doesn't seem like it's even possible to move. I'm thinking maybe it's an error and should be broken off. It comes off of the side just right of the cog and is attached to the wall. Confusing.
Side note... your voice sounds familiar... is this Alaster from Playful Tech? stumbled on this b/c of the lack of help on escapewelt's site. already a patreon on that other channel.
Is there a way to get the roof off? Or access that empty space above the main compartment? I put the first piece you initially pull out in the space with the half moon spinner and got it stuck
I don't think there is a way to do that without breaking it open. I've stuck it in there a million times, but it never seemed right to just go all the way and potentially permanently lose it, so I never went beyond a point I wouldn't be able to reach it.
I had to put a blade up under the second tab as it was jammed.
I funded this puzzle box on Kickstarter and I'm very disappointed with it. There are inadmissible errors in solving the puzzle. Really disappointed because it has a nice look. But very frustrating to solve given the careless design errors.
It's a shame, because I think there are some good ideas in it, but the execution feels rushed, and agree the lack of testing is very disappointing. I even wonder if the rotating lid on the top was intended to be another puzzle that was never implemented, since I don't see otherwise why they'd invest effort in making that rotate rather than fixing the mechanisms of the other puzzles :(
@@PuzzlePieces Totally agree. He should do more testing before starting production. I am very disappointed. Because there are lots of good ideas in the puzzle. I asked myself the same question for the rotating roof. What is it used for? I wrote to them to let them know of my disappointment with the puzzle and to have some explanations. I also bought the Orbital Box puzzle which also has an unacceptable bug.
Follow up... i reached out the the puzzle designer. apparently the error isn't on all the puzzles. He's sending a new one. Very responsive. I showed him the errors and we had a positive email conversation.

This feels like a series of "why Ould I do that? Here goes nothing..."
There is no logical reason. The arrows that are supposed to be clues are hidden, why would the numbers be depressed and not pulled,why is the top spinning etc.
Compared to nautilus from cluebox this is a shitty shitty game
Thé hidden arrows are toi help to reassemble thé puzzle in thé good way and avoid stuck poeces
