Omg thank you thank ypu so muchhh ahhhh 😭😭😭😭😭 our exam is tomorrow and i havent even studied yet this video helped me emotionally, spiritually, and mentally thanks, I appreaciate it ❤️❤️❤️
Originally, I started watching your videos because you helped me with some Statistics issues I was having. Now I’m in Chemistry and so happy I found you. I watch your videos after each lesson to bring it full circle. Love your teaching style and I’m grateful to have ya! One step closer to my nursing degree.
You're an amazing teacher, you demystify these topics in such a graceful manner plus you have such a soothing voice...you were made for this, you are a gift ,God bless you.
Just want to let you know that you are such a good soul for putting these vids online for us students to have access , I hope youtube compensates you! Also I passed the chemistry exam that beat my ass two times, thanks!
Professor Organic Chemistry Tutor, thank you for an outstanding video/lecture on Ionic Bonds, Polar Covalent Bonds and nonpolar Covalent Bonds in Organic Chemistry. The beginning sections of Organic Chemistry is very similar to topics in General Chemistry. This is an error free video/lecture on RUclips TV with the Organic Chemistry Tutor.
...and this is what happens when you take AP Chem sophomore year of high school and College Organic Chem junior year of high school. But I got a 96 on our "General Chemistry Review Quiz." It was basically just balancing equations and some stoichiometry. Now, I'm preparing for my first Orgo test. I hope it goes well and you're very helpful!!
Idk why i am watching these. I did A level chemistry and we covered most of this. I dont even do chemistry anymore, but i guess it is still interesting
I kinda having a hard time to understand this topic when our Prof just gave it to us as a lessons but not even discussed. Then suddenly, i saw this video that easy to understand. I'm glad i did understand now!😁
at 7:30 minutes, is is not C6H14 hexane? C6H12 could be 2-hexene (depends on where you have the double bond). Just want to double-check. I like your videos, they help me a lot. Thank you so muchhhhhh.
Very important: The bonds in H2O (aka. H-O-H) are NOT hydrogen bonds. They are just polar covalent bonds. What IS a hydrogen bond is the bond between a hydrogen atom on one molecule of H2O with an oxygen atom on another molecule of H2O. For larger molecules, it can also be a bond between a H and a O or N or F on different parts of the molecule. But takeaway is: Covalent bonds and hydrogen bonds are two different things, look up hydrogen bonds for more details :-)
If you put H2O and NaCl next to eachother the sodium in salt would be attracted to the oxygen atom in water (because negative attracts positive) and the chlorine in water would be attracted to one or both of the hydrogens in water
Can u solve this problem pls..... Ionic bond is formed between a metal and nonmetal whose electronegativity difference is 1.9 and above , while covalent bond exist between two or more nonmetals whose electronegativity difference is less than 1.9.Based on these descriptions, classify the bond formed in each of the following compounds as ionic bond or covalent bond .... I hope u can help Me🙏 🥺
It is the element’s electronegativity. On some periodic tables it will be listed underneath, but not all have it. Ask ur teacher if they want u to memorize them or what, my teacher gave us a Table with them on it

thankyou!!!
Hello JG please what kind of books do you use any link of that will be helpful.
we really appreciated all your hard wprk. you have no idea how much you help us. please never stop making these videos :)

Bro i got a 25 on my first O chem exam. After that i actually started taking it seriously 💀
@@danielfunes2419 how you in O chem and not taking it seriously 😭
Thanks dude, going through your Orgo. Chem playlist right now to prep for finals. You’re saving my ass with these vids.
This organic chem playlist is my only hope this semester😂😂
This has been the most helpful/simplified explanation I have discovered anywhere. You have a natural gift!

I'm really new to this. Your explanations make it so much easier to understand. Thank you!
Life-saver!! I literally cannot understand a thing here in my science module :')

You basically saved my life
very informative, clear and short video which gave 100% clarity in no time

TYSM I have a test tmrw and I was having trouble remembering this. THIS VIDEO helped SO MUCH! THANK YOU!
Me too twin
the first week of Uni, and im back to your channel. you need to be appreciated more
Really appreciate the videos you’ve helped me out countless times
first day of classes and this is better than my prof
Thank you so much, your teaching is awesome. I can say that I learned math, physics, and chemistry from you only.

best chemistry teacher 👍👍
you are the best, thank you! keep on making these for us!
Wow, time flies. I thought I have been only halfway into te video but I have already finished it lol
thanks dude your videos really help, now i understand these topics , its soo much easier
you just saved me
Thanks dude, that video really helped me for my test last week 💖.
HE SHOULD GET MORE LIKES
Very good explanation sir.
amazing!!! taking ochem lab right now and took originally ochem like 5 years ago so remember not much - final tomorrow!!
Learned more in 11 minutes that a week of class
❤ I will definitely nell the quiz

2:30 Shouldn't ∆EN < 0.5 for a non polar bond? If not so, what about the ∆EN of elements forming bonds b/w 0.4 & 0.5??
DID YOU GRT THE ANSWER ?? Because I remember in class that if DEN>0.4 then it’s non polar and if it’s
When u need to watch this vid in quarantine 😑
Thanks
This dude need a nobel fucking. Prize
Jeez u barley saved my life for my tomorrow Exam....
Barely ?
At 7:23 u said that every compound containg only carbon and hydrogen is non polar .it is wrong ... take the example of cis-2-butene
Of course there's always an exception. It's probably explained in advanced topics. He's speaking in general.
@@beyzee8516 thanks
This is bcz dipole movement not bond polarity
In Greek schools instead of learning the electronegativity value of each atom, we learn this; F>O>N,Cl>Br>S,I,C>P>H
Yes
how do we compare two molecule's polarity or nonpolarity? For example, If they are both polar, which one is more polar?
Depends on what the molecule is made of
If you put H2O and NaCl next to eachother the sodium in salt would be attracted to the oxygen atom in water (because negative attracts positive) and the chlorine in water would be attracted to one or both of the hydrogens in water
Which bond has the most polarity?
Gus2ko na lang magpakamatay
Where did you get electronegativity
Math cant beat Sister Enda
At 7:30 ... hexane, shouldn't that be C6H14 instead of 12 hydrogen atoms? Or we talking hexene?
Daddy chill
thanks soo much dud, saved my azz

I started thinking this guy sounds like Mark Wahlberg and I can't go back! Oh well, it's exciting this way
How old do you learn this part of chemistry in school, please don't say in which class because we don't have the same educational system.
Sir where the number coming from i talk about the 2.5 for carbon and 3.5 for oxygen, it comes from periodic table or where
It is the element’s electronegativity. On some periodic tables it will be listed underneath, but not all have it. Ask ur teacher if they want u to memorize them or what, my teacher gave us a Table with them on it
