I was riding a Specialized Fatboy for the past few years and wanted to get a full suspension bike. Price was the issue that kept me from getting an FS bike until the T-8 showed-up. So glad that I saved my money and waited: The T-8 is a great bike for the money. I am an intermediate rider on a good day and the T-8 makes it easy to get after just about anything. The next step is to find somebody to teach me how to jump properly: There is a lot of information on RUclips University but an in-person class of some sort would be ideal. Keep riding!!

Looking to replace my 2015 Stumpjumper & can't even contemplate the £4k+ a new one would cost. The Polygons have got me really interested.
I'm an older & average rider as happy on my fatbike as I am my stumpie & not very happy in the air. Really can't decide between the T8 or the bigger travel N9.

I’m the same not a very big air guy, much prefer two wheels on the ground. For me I went I with the T8 just because of the type of riding I do. I’m not really sending anything to big and the trails I ride aren’t super gnarly so the 140 was enough.

Torn between d7 and t8 - how much of a difference is there between the two on the climbs?

on the T8 is a lot better on the climbs. With the full length dropper and the bigger tyres it makes climbing a lot more enjoyable.

i got similar spec but on 27'5 and a worse fork (rockshox recon), i would like to upgrade the fork but at the same time maybe i'd be better off getting a different bike (current is 135rear 150 front and i think i'd like 150rear 150/160 front). Your comment on the fork, make me think : fork upgrade or new bike ? but maybe i'll hold on to that question until i have some budget for that !

Ahaha yea definitely. I think you just need to ask yourself what type of riding you want to be doing and how often you ride gnarly trails to warrant the bigger forks

I have a T7 with the Rockshox recon and surprisingly it has been very competent in the rides I have done since getting the T7 a month ago. Based on that, I have recommended the T7 over the T8. The Brakes might be the only thing that makes the T8 better than the T7, but shocks are very similar. Also the Drivetrains with Deore on T7 and SLX on T8 are almost exactly the same bulletproof. My recommendation, buy a T7 and save the money to upgrade what you want mate.
