I wish you would mention net profit after marketing costs cuz royalties are one thing but how much do people actually take home that profit every month
It depends on what type of marketing you do and how much you invest. I personally do mostly content marketing on social media and a very small amount of paid ads.

And 2: Do you buy copyrights for each of your books as a series, or do you do it one book by itself, or do you just skip buying copyright for your book all together since you already own your own book?
Question: KDP select says it has to be exclusive to Amazon to use that. Does that only apply to the digital version, or would that also apply to the print version if using KDP select?

I Have written poetry as well as inspirational writings. I would like to purchase copies of my poetry book and need to find a company that will make copies for reasonable prices. I do not need to be on amazon on any sites for sale. I will be sharing the copies with Family and Friends as well as asking for donations for my books as a ministry. It only applies to the ebook. You can publish your print book elsewhere.
