You had me at the part that the machine knows when to stop pouring. This is definitely something to aspire to and is added to my scaling plan. And you're right. You can make lots of money but you can't get time back!
Hello Wade. Just starting making candles myself. Now that I have seen this modern miracle machine, I want one! Please keep doing what you are doing. Would like to see more videos of your machine in the future. (so I can drool over it)!!!!
Feedback for Coogar: if this machine doesn’t have an agitator, consider adding one to the next iteration. Wax temps vary pretty significantly from the wax closest to where the heating element is versus the wax in the middle of the tank. An agitator would keep temps significantly more consistent throughout the holding tank.
Amazing!! I've been on the cusp with looking into something like this. I pour about 200 candles a day. What a dream it would be to have my whole weekly pour down to a day with this!!
Wow, just wow! I was laying in bed watching this and I had to sit up because I got excited with you. Just amazing and congrats. I just recently started and still in research and development and the double boiler method. Lol, so only pouring about 12 every couple of months. Thanks for sharing, you are a true inspiration and I’ve learned a lot from you!
Right now I make about 12-20 Candles a month. I am enjoying the experience. I have been doing this for about 8 months now. I haven't sold one candle yet. LOL. Actually I haven't attempted to sell candles. I have been just giving them away to various people, my cleaning lady, my neighbors, family, friends. They only think I have been asking in return is feedback. I am getting close to the point where I am getting comfortable producing repeatable outcomes. So it won't be long before I can make my first buck. BTY. This is just fun for me. Not looking at this time for huge returns. Just might be a little retirement thing for me in the future. I want to thank you for your videos. You are encouraging all the way. There were times I would be frustrated but watching your videos seems to keep me on track. You are right. We are our own worse critics. Thank you again.
You are awesome Wade. Every time I watch this video I'm more impressed each time. Can't wait until we can purchase one of these. Oh by the way, thanks for letting us know about Norden candle supply. Life changer ❤
I actually messaged Cougar with the following questions and never got a response. I'm wondering if maybe you have the answers. Just using GW 464 as an example. We melt the wax and add fragrance at around 180 degree and stir for about 1-2 minutes, but we pour at 135-140 degrees. With this machine the mixing temp and pouring temp are the same since it is all happening at once minus the stirring. Will this impact the quality of the candle or the bonding of the fragrance to the wax? If not, is the pouring temp, mixing temp, stir times all hogwash?
Wow, you and your business are on a rocket taking off for space!!! You'll probably forget about the price of this machine over time as it adds to your quality of life. SO IMPRESSED!
Laughing at the car comparison. My husband and I were just talking yesterday about how cars depreciate as soon as you drive off the lot so you're not wrong. How wonderful for you, what a great investment for your business!
I am so jealous. No, really. I’m so jealous. That’s a game changer! I’ve been dreaming of that machine! Really looking forward to a follow up after you’ve had some time with it. Thanks for the vid!
Congratulations Wade! It's fun to see your enthusiasm. Because my candle biz is just a yr old and currently a side gig to my full time 'real job,' I'm growing at a much slower growth rate than you. (Monthly totals vary wildly.) But I love seeing you charge forward into new discoveries of all sorts. That's my take away from this video (along with WOW, I didn't know there was such a machine like that!)
3 weeks ago I had 2 candles I had puchased that had enough wax left in both to make one candle. I decided to figure out how to melt candle wax to make the one candle. I am now watching every one of your videos and have just placed my first order for tester wicks and 1 oz sample kit now looking for tester jars. So that's where I am in this journey, and after seeing this video realizing that if you follow a few rules and learn the craft you could potentially be in need of that machine sooner than later. I'm hooked!
......WANT!!! Congratulations on your new scaled tool!!!! This is amazing!! It looks like you are getting ready for national distribution on like a mass scale! Thank you for sharing as always!

Well now I have a new item of my wish list and new goal... Thanks Wade Thomas awesome video as always. To answer your question right now I'm selling about 100-150 an month been at candle making for about a year now
I’m so happy for your success . Your the best utuber and I like your ethics. You deserve this and I’m so happy for your family . I hope they appreciate you !
Oh wow, what a neat machine! Congrats on your business growth, and getting such a cool machine!! Do you ever make it up to the candle store in Jamesport? They fill their candles in store and we love to go watch them fill their candles. I'm thinking this is that type of machine they use. Fascinating to watch.
What an accomplishment!! I just started my business. Literally everything I've learned, I learned from you. You have a way of making the whole process understandable. However, I put ground espresso bean in a coffee idea. It lit well, smelled well...until it caught on fire! I wish I would have watched your videos before I caught a table on fire. Lol (laughing came in retrospect).

Wow, that machine is amazing! I started making candles in March and have been using a very small presto pot. I've only sold them at craft shows and make a lot of testers and very small batches. So far this week I've only made 50, so very small scale over here. Oh, one day soon! 🙏That machine is now on my goal list!!
This is basically a candlemaker’s wet dream 😆 I am also that techy nerd that would enjoy the changing recipes as well. I cannot wait until I am at the point where my business can afford this. 😍 I sell about 225 candles a month on average. Thanks for the video!! 🖤
I can't answer your question at the end, as I'm still in testing stage but i think in 1 day, i can make up to 10 candles easy. I love this journey its so rewarding 💜🥰 Thankyou Wade for sharing this with us & congratulations are definitely in order 💜💜
@@BlackTieBarn Oh thanks! I found it! Are you still using it? It was no issue for 2 years? We sold 15,5K hand-poured candles in 2024 and I'm wondering if I need this machine ) There are a lot of Chinese analogs on the market... What do you think?
I'd love an update video from Wade after a year of using the machine. Has it "paid for itself" ? Would he do it again ? How has it impacted his workflow and business operations ?
So I’m just starting off in my Journey of making Candles. I love that machine, love the excitement that you show in this video and all the rest that I have been watching. So happy that you have made it. I am still working on Labels and branding. 🙈 Anyway congratulations on that beautiful equipment. (Even if I’m a year late) 😊
Awesome Video. I've been eyeing a filling machine for a while. Just about to pull the trigger! Small batch pouring 100 per day is getting exhausting. - Jason
it's hard to see on the video, but in my opinion there are some pipes and pieces of iron in the hot box, it can tear the hose if you drag it back and forth all the time
There is equipment in there yes.... but everything has been welded and rounded off. The hose is also crazy thick and resilient. But yes... of course you want to be careful for sure and check things periodically. 💯
Congratulations. I think it’s great that you made the leap to buying specialty equipment. What are you handling so much of everything in your business it’s nice to be able to buy something that’s gonna save retirement money
I want one 😂 I've only made a few candles but am constantly asked if I've made more ..I love candles and know there is a market for them, I just don't want all my time dedicated to making them as a big business with overheads etc. This machine sounds perfect! I would want to know if it comes with a warranted and maintenance for the price though
Congratulations! I am no where near to where you are so it is the furthest thing from my mind lol, but I do appreciate you sharing what the possibilities are for us as we grow. It was also really fun to watch your excitement about the machine and the entire process.
Wow. This is super cool! How does it mitigate the difference in mixing temp vs pouring temp? If it mixes in the jar, is it not being poured too hot? Any concerns about the mixing process not being as long? Are there waxes this may not be a good fit for? I have so many questions about the actual mechanics of this machine and process! LOL fellow geek about this kind of stuff. I'm always the but how does it work person. Down the rabbit hole I go! Seriously big congrats to you. This was a hard earned investment for your business and I hope to make it there myself someday. I'm making around 20 candles a month because I'm in the late testing phase for my business I hope to launch in September so I'm going to ramping up big time this week. This machine is definitely a goal I'm writing down for the future. Thank you for all you do and share. You have surely changed many lives by making information that was once gate kept by the experienced, so folks like us can start up for a bit less financial investment. I'm referring to all the testing we get to skip to learn the very basics because folks like you have been down that road and shared what did and didn't work, allowing us to make better educated guesses from the start. I'm grateful for you and the other chandlers like yourself on YT. I would be where I am right now without your channel and by proxy, YOU! So Thank YOU.
Hey Heather. I actually just answered this same question so will paste the same answer below. Its a good question (i was curious about this as well years ago) and the short answer is.... you really don't need to with a machine like this. Temp is WAY less important with machines like this in terms of when to add FO. Because it mixes so much efficiently grams at a time so it mixes well at any temp. So with equipment like this. The key is basically setting your tank temp to your pour temp. In the batches I made in the video, I set to 140. But will depend on your specific wax. And of course testing with your wax
am so proud of you and your vision, progress, i sent you an email last week and 60% of the answer i got it from this video the way you share the way you get more success, god bless and best of luck ;)
What do you mean don’t get it day one??? 😂 I found this right before I saw your video on it, and was already telling my husband we needed this, lol, and it was from a 14 year old video.. now after watching yours I’m even more convinced! Okay okay, I know I’m just dreaming.
Much respect to you Wade. At the rate you going that price won't be a problem. Seems like you will get that money back in no time. Plus saves on time. I would like something like that on a smaller scale. After pouring from the pouring pitchers your arms and hands gets to shaking. Many blessings to you ❤
I love the idea of this machine! I am confused about the fragrance though. I thought you were supposed to stir the fragrance in for a minute or two to incorporate in into the wax. Can you clarify this for me? Thanks so much.
Hey Candace! Check the other comments and answers on this one. It was asked a few times and I answered with some detail this. But it basically boils down to the difference in someone hand mixing vs a pumper mixing by the gram rather than hand Stirring in a pouring pot. There is a LOT of false information about when to add FO and how much to stir. But again it's mostly because of the difference in scale and efficiency. All larger scale businesses are mixing this way. It's designed to work thst way. :)
Keeping this in mind for future reference. This would help me have more time for making soap by getting my candles done at a faster pace. Thanks for sharing!
He answered someone else with the same question and said it’s all a myth and he has a video about it. He also said this mixes the oil better with the wax as it’s dispersing. Hope that helps. :-)
Thanks Tim. Not so much a myth more of major exaggeration. But that when hand mixing it does take longer and more heat. You just don't need to worry about it with this kind of pumper.
Hi Wade, Thank you for being a real guy and sharing all this info with us. Could you please let me know somehow where dis you buy this machine from? Brand and model, thank you a lot.
Congratulations!!! I’m so happy for you. Thank you for sharing. This is sooo AWESOME!!! ❤️❤️❤️ 0 candles for learning so much from you to be better prepared.
How do you know if the fragrance oil is evenly distributed thorugh the candle? Is that something that the machine monitors? It's a very nice piece of kit! Think of all the time you will get back by having this. Bravo!
Is adding grams of fragrance to grams of wax at a time. Literally fishing then together as you go. In other words... much more efficient and better mixed than we could do by hand even if we stirred for an hour. 🤣
Compare this cost (~$21k) vs hiring a candle maker (~$30k/year part time, even more full time). This is a no brainer when you’ve reached THAT point in your business.
Hi thank you for all the wonderful videos. We got our cougar machine Can you please give some guidance for pouring temperature since we have to stay at constant temperature 90 percent of the time we are using soypour 1280 with 10 percent fragrance load Our jars are 3inc in diameter and 3.5 inches tall single wicked Many thanks
@amer really? I mean I guess it depends on jar and size too. But for me, that high of temp leads to dips around the wick or sunken tops a bit due to cooling down from a high temp. At around 135, I get virtually perfect tops. But I'm always experimenting with changes
Hi Rachal. I'm not sure about that specific use case but I know for a fact it handles all sorts of bases. Commonly used for products like the following: candles, wax melts, soap, lotion, chapsticks, creams, shampoos etc. But.... to be safe, if ask the company directly. :)
Common questi9n.... i give some detailed response to that same question in the comments. But also... the is no hard 2 minute rule. That's something that started spreading in the past few years for some reason. No real science behind that. All that matters is that it mixes. Sometimes that cash take a few seconds or 30 seconds etc. This machine is also mixing everything in the smallest unit possible. Not big pitchers. Makes it very fast and efficient
This is when you know you made it once you've made this purchase! nice job Wade
Lol. Thanks Lindsay!

Thanks so much!
Wade if I'm starting out with a Soylite small melter, can I mix the UV inhibitor, DYES and scents together in the melter?
You can. But I like to only melt together what I'll use consistently. Othrrwise you're having to clean it every time you change
What do you mean don’t get it day one??? 😂 I found this right before I saw your video on it, and was already telling my husband we needed this, lol, and it was from a 14 year old video.. now after watching yours I’m even more convinced! Okay okay, I know I’m just dreaming.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Game changing piece of equipment! Congratulations 🎊 👏 💐 🥳
It definitely is!
Much respect to you Wade. At the rate you going that price won't be a problem. Seems like you will get that money back in no time. Plus saves on time.
I would like something like that on a smaller scale. After pouring from the pouring pitchers your arms and hands gets to shaking.
Many blessings to you ❤
Thanks Tammie! Appreciate you. :)
Amazing! Only question is how does it “mix” the fragrance? Normally mixing takes a bit of time at least for me lol.
That's primarily because I'm your hand mixing. Not as efficient how machines like this work. So it always takes us longer to hand mix
@@BlackTieBarn man I hear ya!
Keeping this in mind for future reference. This would help me have more time for making soap by getting my candles done at a faster pace. Thanks for sharing!
Not to overly excited you here..... but you can use this for bath and body products too. 😉 😬
Welcome back 😊
Thank you.. but welcome back to what? Lol
So cool!!! Thank you for sharing!
You're welcome!
Damn... I'm excited for u!! I'm going to wait til I see one at an estate sale 🤔🤷🏼♀️🍸
😁❤️
That is so awesome! I'm so happy for you. Question.... what about mixing/stirring the wax & FO? No need? Have fun with your new toy!
Hey jessica.. check our some other answers to same question I just replied to. Hope it helps. Great question!
How do you clean the nozzle and the inlet pipe which is being used for bringing the fragrance.
They recommend mineral oil etc which I have used and works. But 7x works great... little more pricey
@@BlackTieBarn kindly elaborate on the process of cleaning. It will be really helpful
Sooooo awesome! Congratulations. GOALS!
🥰 Thanks Omayra!
Thank you. I now have a goal to buy this machine … but $20K - yikes! Though, the return seems worth it.
WOWWWW 1,300 an hour! Thanks so much for sharing!
Yah... I won't make than many for a few reasons.... but the fact that it can is cool. Lol
How is the change over from scent? Does it go pretty quick or does it take some time to clean out the scent feeding line and wand?
CONGRATULATIONS 🎊 ❤️
🥰
Congratulations!!!!
Thanks man!
Hi Wade,
Thank you for being a real guy and sharing all this info with us.
Could you please let me know somehow where dis you buy this machine from? Brand and model, thank you a lot.
Yep It's in the video as well but probably wasn't on the screen too long.

Congratulations!!! I’m so happy for you. Thank you for sharing. This is sooo AWESOME!!! ❤️❤️❤️ 0 candles for learning so much from you to be better prepared.
Appreciate very much!
What an amazing machine! It will certainly save time and money cleaning pouring jugs for starters! A very wise and sensible investment!
😁👍
Compare this cost (~$21k) vs hiring a candle maker (~$30k/year part time, even more full time). This is a no brainer when you’ve reached THAT point in your business.
Hi thank you for all the wonderful videos. We got our cougar machine Can you please give some guidance for pouring temperature since we have to stay at constant temperature
90 percent of the time we are using soypour 1280 with 10 percent fragrance load
Our jars are 3inc in diameter and 3.5 inches tall single wicked
Many thanks
I like around 135 for me. And I keep the hotbox at the same. I'd start with that and adjust as needed
170 seems to work the best
@amer really? I mean I guess it depends on jar and size too. But for me, that high of temp leads to dips around the wick or sunken tops a bit due to cooling down from a high temp. At around 135, I get virtually perfect tops. But I'm always experimenting with changes
Can this machine be used for hair balms that contain carrier oils, essential oils and beeswax?
Hi Rachal. I'm not sure about that specific use case but I know for a fact it handles all sorts of bases. Commonly used for products like the following: candles, wax melts, soap, lotion, chapsticks, creams, shampoos etc.
But.... to be safe, if ask the company directly. :)
I am curious about the fragrance not being stirred in for 2 min. How does that work?
Common questi9n.... i give some detailed response to that same question in the comments.
But also... the is no hard 2 minute rule. That's something that started spreading in the past few years for some reason. No real science behind that. All that matters is that it mixes. Sometimes that cash take a few seconds or 30 seconds etc. This machine is also mixing everything in the smallest unit possible. Not big pitchers. Makes it very fast and efficient
