- This is a video tour of my surfboard shaping bay. It’s not your typical setup as it’s made from a walk-in greenhouse inside my garage. Like many others, I shape and glass surfboards in my own garage which gets very messy. So this is my dedicated workspace where I can control the mess. Follow along for some surfboard builds and other surf related projects.

A 5,000 btu window air conditioner will work well in your tent. Build a 2x4 frame, cut out a space in the wall of the tent to slide the a/c unit out through, (like a window a/c), duct tape the opening to the a/c, and plug it in. :)

It was nice to climb inside an organized, deliberate mind and see your process. I am working on the exact same thing this week. A veteran North Shore glasser is helping a little. If you ever come out to Hawaii, get in touch, stay in my spare room, and see how my project came out and maybe we can shape a board or two. But I live in town so you have to drive 35 minutes so you can get smashed by Pipe or Sunset, or our list of secondary waves that aren't too bad. Super enjoyed the vid.
Such a good idea to use a greenhouse as a shaping bay. I wonder if you added a box fan to each end of the green house, if it would help with the heat. Have one fan pulling air in and have the other one pushing it out. Need to do a surfboard quiver video next, looks like some awesome boards! Thanks for the shout out as well!
