I was deployed there in November, 2023 when I lead the RPNGC Traffic members and we were part of the RPNGC Contingent that were deployed to assist the Royal Solomon Island Police Force ( RSIPF ) during the South Pacific Games. We were very impressed ,our PNG girls football team had put up a very strong game with the Fijian girls. Commended the Coach, the captain ,the goalkeeper and everyteam members. They played and represented our country PNG very well. CONGRATULATIONS GIRLS. The team returned to PNG after the games ended on the 02nd December and for all of us returned on the 10th December,2023.

She basically did the hard yards herself to get where she is so believe in yrselvs. I always knew our girls were dangerous n fast with the ball. Kudos to u all Team PNG. U should aim at the world cup ladies. Next invite Aust Matildas to PNG for a friendly game n see where yr weaknesses are PNG.
Regardless, of PNG less emphasis in soccer. The country soccer team is extremely doing well. About time nation and its government to put more effort so that soccer can make it the international standard and world cup. Soccer players are highly paid compare to rugby league.b
PNG might have won the match against Fiji. However, you still have a lot to work on. There were so many missed opportunities in the first half. You would've been 6 to 8 goals in the first half. The striker is too slow on the ball. There is no sign of the center forward to distribute the ball. Ball security & ball control is another failure. PNG has a height disadvantage. We owe it all to the goalkeeper. If it wasn't for her, Fiji would've been 3 goals ahead in the first half. PNG needs to work on its midfielders. We need a striker who is fast & strong. It's not the score that makes the difference. It's the teamwork & objective of the game on the field. Thanks to PNG Goal Keeper. Above all, women's football is improving slowly in the Pacific.
