A special thanks to Vox Amplification for the opportunity to produce this video. Feel free to ask any questions in the comment section below. I will do my best to answer each one.
I have yet to see anyone demo the 3 variations of each channel) hold down the fx button and tap the power button to cycle through the variations: clean, blues, and overdrive.
Hi Grant. Here it is - Dec 17, 2020. I ran across your vox blues amplug demo about 6 mos ago. Superb demo. But the reason i'm writing, your playing is just brilliant and moving. Your sound, style, soul and articulation just puts me away. That said, i can't find hardly any videos you've made. If available, could you please direct me to any other audio/video of you playing? I don't care if it's just you noodling, i'd really just appreciate hearing more. Your style and mastery just really stand out amongst all other demo, instructional, etc videos i've encountered. There so much great youtube playing but so much is so similar. What you bring to the table just really shines out from most of the rest. If nothing else, just know that i deeply appreciate listening to you play. BTW, my name is Ed, i'm 68, have played since age 13, mostly for myself in last few decades so, not really very serious. Mostly drawn to bop and modern jazz and also precisely the style of music that you play in this vox demo. Thanks for reading, thx for your time and for your remarkable ability! And have a blessed Christmas.
Anthony… What a welcome message during these questionable times… Thank you so much for your kind words and consideration. I do not have much at the moment of my own playing on RUclips however if you happen to have Instagram, there are a few clips on my account you may like to see! You can find it all by visiting @therealgrantparker. While you’re there, feel free to send me a message, I’d love to hear from you! Please send me any videos of you yourself playing as well! Have a wonderful holiday and may you be safe, happy and healthy this Christmas.

Great playing and feeling!! I'm a guitar player from Brazil!! The tones we hear are only from the amplug blues device with the guitar pickups and amplug fx?? no add ons?? it sounds amazing!! I'm thinking about buying me one!
Is it three different levels of reverb or is it « completely on or of».? I like reverb, but i font like it when its too much. On my Fender twin reverb, i never go highwr than 4.
I'm a newbie, so please forgive my ignorance. I just bought a beautiful Gretsch Electromatic. I'd like to practice with my headphones but will eventually want to plug into a tube amplifier. As I have to save up a bit before I get the amp of choice, can I use this little gem with my Behringer self amplified studio monitors for a decent sound? I'm blues genre so I won't be distorting the sound in any way.
No ignorance here! If your studio monitors allow for some sort of "line in"/aux in headphone input, you should be able to do that about which you are inquiring - you'll just need an aux cable. Good luck!
Blues = Fender twin, Classic Rock and Lead are both I believe based on Marshall 100 watt, AC30 = Vox AC30 (duh), Bass has rhythm tracks, Clean is clean and - I believe - Fender-flavored tube amp sound, so it has crunchyand drive options too, Metal is based on US high gain amp - don't know which - I imagine Mesa Boogie triple rectifier would be the classic one to go for.
Besides the fact that the sound is being driven directly into your ears with headphones on, as opposed to experiencing acoustics of the area in which you're playing, as well as the location of the sound source, it's quite consistent.
There is no aux 'out' - only an aux 'in'. There is a headphone 'out' which you can use to record into an iPad or bluetooth device (like what he's doing in this video!), but unlike a true aux 'out', it won't by-pass the volume/gain/tone controls.
Saw bonamassa in tour two years ago, was disappointed by his "performance look" on stage like he was standing same spot all show but besides that amazing showww
Hello It is normal that the amplug shuts off? I just bought one from amazon and only have use it like 3 hours with the factory battery and it shuts off 2 times while playing. When I move the battery to a different position It last longer
My factory batteries sucked balls and didn’t last but maybe a few hours tops. I’ve now got some energizers in it. I may have to get a rechargeable kit just for these AmPlugs as I just love them and their portability. Sound great to me, I’m not a pro or anything though.
He mentioned that the Line In on his normal amp completely bypasses the eq circuit, which also implies that it uses a different step up ladder and transformer than the guitar input on the amp, which means that the sound he is hearing is coming from the AMplug module, and nothing is being added or taken away because of using the original guitar amp. He could have just as easily used his monitors on his desk, but there's no need to.
This is the first demo of the amPlug2 blues that I've found that actually went through all three channels. Good Demo!
Thank you kindly!

Guess you both suck at searching, because there is a review of ALL models through al channels, and it is a year older than these comments...
Musical player.. Great phrasing, tone. Picked one up. Thanks for the review

Great video! Quick question, this amplug works with electroacoustic guitar? Or only with 🎸?
May I ask where and how you've learned all those licks n riffs? Planning to buy one of these, you sound amazing!

Have you connected to an external speaker withing the forst 2 mins of d video?
Very nice review thanks! I'm sold, just wished I played as good as you! What model Les Paul and pickups? Sounds excellent!!
You are very kind. That was a 2014 Les Paul Classic with 57 Classic/Classic + Zebra pickups.
Keep on rockin Parker!
I like you playing in the beginning, do you use pentatonics or is this more like the bb king box?
Believe it or not, the B.B. King box is in fact pentatonic!
BB king style ! and face hahaha
Very nice playing , congrats!
Thank YOU!
Some nice Santana flavors! what gauge paradigm strings Grant? Thanks!
Those would be 11 gauge on the Les Paul. Thanks for the kind words.

Wish I got blues over clean now lol
get the blues, classic rock, and ac30, there the only ones really worth the money
What model Lester and what pickups are in it? Killer sound and phrasing dude
I am a beginner, between the blues and clean which one should I buy. Is there a lot of difference in sound effect.
Give the "Blues" style a try. You won't be disappointed.
Grant Parker thanks !!! I bought the Amplug Blues.

Thanks gr8
are you getting this same tone even when using headphones?
Besides the fact that the sound is being driven directly into your ears with headphones on, as opposed to experiencing acoustics of the area in which you're playing, as well as the location of the sound source, it's quite consistent.
If I plug one into the end of my pedal chain, will the aux out be able to serve as an input into my iPad or something like that to record?
There is no aux 'out' - only an aux 'in'. There is a headphone 'out' which you can use to record into an iPad or bluetooth device (like what he's doing in this video!), but unlike a true aux 'out', it won't by-pass the volume/gain/tone controls.
Hey. Nice review. Can you tell me what kind of pickups are in your les paul?
Seems like double coil
Great playing bro!!
nice Bonamassa/Eric Johnson licks
I thought the same thing !!
Saw bonamassa in tour two years ago, was disappointed by his "performance look" on stage like he was standing same spot all show but besides that amazing showww
Do you have to plug the headphone amplifier through an amp for it to work?
cole simoneaux What do you mean by that?
No, you can plug in headphones or run an audio line directly between the Vox and an external speaker like a Bluetooth speaker with an aux in.
Have you ever used the original Vox Amplug? How does this one compare?
Rick Romito I had the original one, it had no reverb and it sounded a lot shitter than this one sounds here
What's that pick you're using?
I believe in this video I was using a pick by "chicken picks". Great company!
Sounds good!
How was this recorded?
Hello
It is normal that the amplug shuts off? I just bought one from amazon and only have use it like 3 hours with the factory battery and it shuts off 2 times while playing.
When I move the battery to a different position It last longer
Eduardo dominguez mine does the same thing
maybe try placing the battery more secure? Idk mine works well
My factory batteries sucked balls and didn’t last but maybe a few hours tops. I’ve now got some energizers in it. I may have to get a rechargeable kit just for these AmPlugs as I just love them and their portability. Sound great to me, I’m not a pro or anything though.
reviewing an amp but playing it through another amp,,so what are you reviewing
He mentioned that the Line In on his normal amp completely bypasses the eq circuit, which also implies that it uses a different step up ladder and transformer than the guitar input on the amp, which means that the sound he is hearing is coming from the AMplug module, and nothing is being added or taken away because of using the original guitar amp.
